Ghost of Yotei got cleared and rated for 18 and above audiences in Saudi Arabia, this notable given that there were high profile games this year that didn't get cleared there like Kingdom Come 2.

Didn't they have a completely different version of the game?
It had Censored/Saudi Arabia mode where certain flags and other decorations/NPCs didn't appear, dunno if I'd call that a completely different version though.

So, not woke?

For all we know the middle east gets a censored version with the LGBTQ+ elements removed. They did that with Spider-Man 2 IIRC.

Could be, for sure there is no sodomy, and could be a good sign that we will not see any woke twisted gender ideology crap. Wait and see, since in the past Sony release a different version of Spider man without those type of woke agenda in middle east.
Or maybe Sony really is healing. :messenger_smiling_with_eyes:

Probably will get an exclusive version just like Spider-Man 2.
Either the game has no content that would upset the local Saudi regulators (who can be very stringent at times) or it will get an altered version.

My money would be on the 1st because where exactly do you find opportunities for forced politics in a historical Japan setting? Even Shadows had more of a controversy about the ability to destroy shrines than about Yasuke imo.

Historical japan setting is not more safe than many other settings when sony is on the driver seat.

Spider-Man 2 released in Saudi Arabia.
A different version of the game, mind you. Sony is all about pushing the LGBTQ agenda, except when they're gonna lose a chunk of money in some region.
I guess Embracer didn't see a big enough market for their game in middle east to make a different version of KCD2.

Sony doesn't force politics on its game productions.
>b-but!
Surely you're smart enough to realize that the exception proves the rule.

I meant sony studios, i don't really care if it is the studio or sony forcing the woke shit, it's still woke shit :lollipop_grinning_sweat:

Honestly Japan could probably use a few less shrines anyways, if Shadows is anything like real life you can't swing a dead cat in Japan without hitting some kind of sacred shrine or temple.
