Ghost Recon: Future Soldier Beta Thread of key begging

Has anyone received the email with the beta keys yet? I pre ordered the game this Saturday and registered on the beta website but I still haven't received any codes by email.

Am I the only who who is disappointed at the evolution of Ghost Recon? They went from tactical games to cover shooters, I mean what...

I just put in my splinter cell disc and it prompted me to dl the beta right away...which I am doing right now... :)

Cover shooters and tactical shooters are not completely different. I think this game is still tactical, they have just severely limited the amount of tactics at your disposal. The original Ghost Recon has boatloads of replayability which games these days try to artificially create with prestige and multiplayer unlocks. Fire up Ghost Recon and play a mission or firefight and you will realize the amount of randomness and choice of how you want to approach each situation are still impressive to this day. If you are into that kind of thing that alone can provide hours on hours of replayability .

But it's not just Ghost Recon, pretty much every military shooter except ARMA has gone in this direction, because at the end of the day for these publishers like Ubisoft its more about making money than making games that people want. All that being said, I think this was the correct "natural progression" for the series at this point. They need to try to be something different in a crowded genre as it's too much of an uphill climb to really compete with COD and BF, and that's why you see them do something like make a decision to not include a standard TDM.

yeah just PS+, should show up on the Store for you today, no key required

I just got a code in my email despite expressing no interest whatsoever, not owning Splinter Cell Conviction, not being on PS+, and not being a member of the press.

I got an email from Ubi reminding me about the BETA this week....even though I dont own Splinter Cell.

then i got an email giving me PS3 code from uplay.

Just saw this thread, wasn't even aware that the beta had finally got here.

So excited for this game, but I guess I won't be playing it. I'm not pre-ordering at Gamestop, and the TWO times I've bought Conviction have both been on PC. Thanks Ubisoft for looking out for us PC gamers :(
 
While there are no plans for a PC beta as of now, our devs are working hard to build an amazing GR: Future Soldier experience for you on PC. We'll keep you posted if anything changes.

The last time I heard something like this, it was with regards to a PC demo for the utterly underwhelming Syndicate reboot.
 
Entered a code I got and it registered properly, but the download (1.23 GB) won't start. Just says "Pending" :(

Edit - That was strange. It stayed like that for quite a while and now it says 15% done.
 
Can't believe uk ps plus subscribers got shafted on the beta.

What are the options for a ps3 owners in the uk to get into the beta?
