There wasn’t anything strange in their neighborhood, per se, but the folks at Tufts Medical Center in Boston knew exactly who to call to brighten their spirits. The cast of the new Ghostbusters reboot took time out of their busy filming schedule to give patients at the Floating Hospital for Children an other-worldly surprise.

Kristen Wiig, Melissa McCarthy, Kate McKinnon, and Leslie Jones showed at the center in full Ghostbusters attire, proton packs and all. They made the rounds visiting with patients and their families, and posing for photographs. As depicted in one such photo published on the Tufts Medical Center’s Facebook page, some of them got to hold the stars’ ghost-fighting props. Thankfully, no one crossed the streams.

“Thank you for taking the time out of filming today to put a big smile on our patients faces!” the hospital’s post said. You can see the rest of the photos below.

This is pretty awesome of them to do!

This sweet patient couldn't have visitors in the room when the ghostbusters were there but wanted a photograph so the ladies posed outside the room to get her in the shot. Very thoughtful ladies!

Context on the thread photo.

He-man! He-man! He-man! He-man! He-man! He-man! He-man! He-man! He-man! He-man! He-man! He-man! He-man! He-man! He-man! He-man! He-man! He-man! He-man! He-man! He-man! He-man! He-man! He-man! He-man! He-man! He-man! He-man!

Pic is so depressing, regardless of context; it's like they're actually the witches from Hocus Pocus in modern times, about to suck the dying kid's soul.

But the movie isn't out yet?

How would kids even care?

It would make sense if it's a sequel and the first was a huge hit.

The kid clearly has the look of a person who just spent time around Kristen Wiig.

Those kids dont even know what is ghostbusters, not to mention what characters these ladies are suppose to be.

It's like, what did they tell that kid in the first place to prep them for the visit?

Bizarrely, I didn't notice the kid in the background until someone pointed it out.

I'm so confused.

I mean, did the kids even know who they were? the movie hasn't even been released. This is like shrewd marketing or something.

He-man! He-man! He-man! He-man! He-man! He-man! He-man! He-man! He-man! He-man! He-man! He-man! He-man! He-man! He-man! He-man! He-man! He-man! He-man! He-man! He-man! He-man! He-man! He-man! He-man! He-man! He-man! He-man!

10/10

Sorry wouldn't this of been better to do after the movie had come out? Most people probably have no idea who the hell they are and have no emotional attachment to a movie that isn't even out. This just doesn't even make sense to me.

So awesome of them <3

Also, uh, regardless if the movie is out or not, I'm pretty sure most people know who the Ghostbusters are... why would they not do something like this for people? Like wtf.

The cast went to a children's hospital and visited some sick kids.

I'm not sure what's confusing about it.

The movie is being filmed in Boston and has become a sort of mini-event there. Even if they aren't die hard fans or something, it's not that unusual.
