I have it, I had someone from Reddit invite me to a multiplayer game and I still can't play that game for shit because I'm too stupid. It is such a cool game but goddamn it makes me feel dumb.

Like anything else complex, if you have the patience you can get into it. Try, try, and try again! If it interests you, watch a few video guides and follow them, eventually you'll learn the in and outs.

I honestly do like the game but it seriously makes me feel stupid when I play it. I haven't given up but yeah... game too hard. :(

You shut your whore mouth. We can't tolerate that kind of talk around here.

I have no idea how to play it properly, but once in a while i'll fire it up and just let it go, stuff happens like your character having kids.

What I find a bit weird and off putting about the article is the fact that the first paragraph makes it sound like the whole thing exists because Jeff is trying to defend himself from the people who keep repeating that he doesn't like games anymore and that he's super jaded.

It's not like them to try to defend themselves from random internet critic.

I think you're reading too much into this, Jeff has been called jaded from before he started GB. This felt more like pre-Patrick GB to me, when Jeff and Brad would just write random articles about what's on their mind right now.

I gotta say, I'm a huge fan of Jeff's writing. I wouldn't mind seeing more random posts from him on the front page.

Hilarious how some of the comments were exactly what he wrote about in the opening. Good ol' "WHAT ABOUT XXXXX???" posts.

Yeah, this feels more like it's compensating for Patrick's absence.

So Air Force Gator's currently winning the name poll for AGDQ. While us Americans sleep, can someone try to lock down a link and timestamp to the moment, so the rest of us can check it out? I enjoyed how perplexed the streamers were at last year's success.

I second this. Gonna be asleep when (or if) it happens.

Yeah people have been calling Jeff jaded since like Virtua Fighter 3. its such an old complaint i always assume people are joking when they call him that

I'll keep an eye out for it. r/speedrun keeps a list of all the VODs, so I'll post it here as soon as I see it there.

Have the plans related to Dan's Mike Tyson Punch Out attempts been clarified? Like, will it be a video feature or is it just something he's going to do in his private time? I think it would be awesome if he did, like, an hour a week video feature or something until he beats Tyson. Or would the video capture tech add latency that would make that untenable?

It'll just be a long exhaustive premium feature that documents Dan's training to be the best and then smash cutting to the moment when he actually defeats Tyson all while being set to Eye of the Tiger on repeat.

20 one-hour long training montages ending in him walking out of the video room with his arms raised?

I'm going to be pretty bummed out if I don't see him beat Tyson.

.

Brad, Jeff and Alex are my MVP writers. I actually don't like Patrick's writing that much but as a newshound and investigative reporter he's kickass.

Dan's writing blows, but that's not what Dan's ABOUT, man

Wrong about commas, wrong about everything
The ultimate tragedy of GiantBomb is that I love Jeff's, Brad's and Alex's writing (can't comment on Dan though I liked his reviews) when they choose to write something. I know some people don't like Alex's snark but as for me I can't get enough of it (well I can cause there is not a lot and...you get what I mean)
I'd love to see a few more articles by them, not about news or so but stuff like this. Now that that pesky Klepek is gone, GB can finally focus on written content!

I finished MGS3 last night. So far it's definitely the weirdest of those games. Not weirdest in the "Do you know what day it is Jack?" or "The White House was our primordial soup" kind of way, but because it's a mix of a fairly grounded story and
flying flame skulls and dead people telling Snake radio frequencies
. I don't think nanomachines can explain anything at the time the game takes place, either?

Kojima really needs to learn to just end a game, though. I came back to the game expecting there to be maybe 30 minutes or so left considering where I was at the time, and it took 2 fucking hours for the game to wrap up.

Next up, Peace Walker.

Really? I thought it was the most cohesive and straightforward endings from the entire series. As well as being beautifully directed and a massive tear-jerker.

It's mostly the time between
first Volgin fight in the hangar and the Boss fight
that I had a problem with. It was the worst the game had to offer gameplay wise (
chase sequences and an escort mission
) and quite unnecessary.

edit: Oh and I forgot to mention, the post credits sequence was really dumb and I loved it.
