Absolutely not
I've never enjoyed an assassin's creed, I think the max I got was 5 hours into Black Flag. But same, I'm really curious to see what they've done with this extra time and I don't know why
I haven't played an assassin's creed game since brotherhood and I stopped because I found them pretty unappealing.

The lush jungle vs high tech "ancient" ruins in Horizon are very reminiscent of Enslaved.

That's what I like most about it. I enjoyed Enslaved, shame about the jank that game had. (didn't mind it though)

Watching the Vinnyvania 2 episode with John Drake shilling Amplitude and talking about his confidence in Phil and Microsoft in supporting the kinect just post solo bundle announcement is even more sad in hindsight.

I'd like to see GBeast play some co-op Sniper Elite. Game seems like a good level of dumb for them.
Yeah true. Regarding Blow, he's said some dumb stuff recently surrounding the Milo Berkeley protests
I dont know why, but I had a particularly negative emotion to this when it was announced a couple of years ago.
I couldn't quite get my hear around the idea that a major developer the size of Harmonix was actively going to the marketplace to find an extra $million (or whatever it was) to build a game.
I felt like they should have the resources and funding in place to build that game, take it to market and let me decide if I wanted to support it - instead of the other way around.
Anyway - I never did play it and all suggestions are that it's average-to-bad.

Was kinda hoping for some old games today. Its always fun to hear Jeff on other peoples shows though.
When is that? I've always wanted some kinda sit down podcast between Jeff and Peer Schneider just talking shop. They've both been doing it longer than about anybody else still covering games.
Vinny and Dan Sniper Elite co-op needs to happen, that game actually looks pretty cool.
The dominatrix thing in Yakuza was hilarious. I hope that girl comes back as a character.

VR games. They released Harmonix Music VR last year and are releasing Rock Band VR soon. Plus still trying to support Rock Band 4. I do wonder how much longer they may have if these ventures dont pan out well.
Bayonetta 2 was the only real competitor, and while everyone liked it only Alex was really planning on putting it at #1. 2014 was kinda a shit year outside Nintendo

I mean - a couple of years after, I think it's quite easy to argue the case for a few of those other games.
I like FC4 more at the time (and still do).
Bayonetta 2 is probably the best game for the WiiU.
Destiny is a very fully featured product now and very fun to play.
Hearthstone is huge and very popular.
Yeah - maybe Mordor wasn't the right choice. Why did it win again?

Legend of Grimrock 2, still the best game of 2014 and quite possibly the generation. Top 3 for sure.

How big of a step up from the first Grimrock is it? I never finished the first but I really loved the concept.
