I can't watch the Smash Bros video, when I click play it just comes up with a black screen, and I can't change the quality, when I hover over it a red stop sign appears. Anyone know what's up?

Captain Falcon has been in all the games, but you might have forgotten him in Brawl because he was GARBAGE

Also this multiplayer hitching makes me feel ill. God damn it.

The opponents in Punch Out are 100x more iconic than Little Mac. Punch Out Mike Tyson would be the best Smash character.

He really liked MW2, but he's been progressively more critical about the series with every entry. Ghosts got 3 stars.

So make it King Hippo. If that's the argument, pick the right guy. But it's a busted argument anyway because the protagonists always come first.

Also half of those dudes are questionable ethnic stereotypes so IDK

I think Jeff is giving the game a fair shake btw. I mean, can't change the fact that he doesn't like the mechanics, but yeah, he acknowledges that they're doing some interesting stuff, at least.

This went exactly like I expected a QL of Smash to go. Dan is the only fan of the franchise on staff. Jeff's yawning got a bit annoying though.
 
Uhg, the Smash Bros Unfinished is painful. Jeff's blatant dismissal of competitive Smash is so incredibly frustrating. He says competitive Smash players are crazy when it's clear that he's never tried to play the game in any sort of competitive matter. And him calling for health bars is crazy. Okay yeah, Smash just isn't for the Giant Bomb guys.
 
OK Jeff is now asking for everyone's Final Smash to be sitting in a helicopter and sniping people

At some point, I have to respect his dedication to wanting complete fucking nonsense

(the sad reality being, if Jeff ever got the traditional fighter full of z-tier Nintendo heroes he wants, it would star Waluigi and Groose)

Never really has been (Jeff liked the first one, to be fair). I remember his dismissals of the competitive Smash community blowing up a bit at one time.
 
The roster for the new Smash Bros is weird, three characters from Kid Icarus and four Fire Emblem guys just seems insane to me.

It's like Nintendo wanted to jam all their most anime characters in there, just for Dan.

I could not care less about competitive smash bros., but I think it's pretty annoying too. I'm not sure why he seems to care so much about "sticking it" to the competitive smash community. He always bring up how smash is not a ~*real*~ fighting game anytime anyone mentions it.

I thought it was pretty decent, actually. Always expect the worst when it comes to Nintendo QLs, then you're less likely to be disappointed. :p

Anyway, I'll be playing the Smash demo till UPF starts. Can't get over how smooth this runs!

Eh, as long as they don't cut regulars I don't mind. I think they made some fantastic (and long overdue) additions this time around.

Yeah, its clear he was never really that high on Smash to begin with but for him to outright call competitive Smash players crazy just came off as naive. Although to be fair I follow competitive Smash and play a lot with friends so I'm kinda biased on the matter.

Also yeah, Dan likes it, I should have started as a competitive game Smash isn't for the Giant Bomb guys.

The funny thing is I also play League so it's like a double dose of negativity when MOBAs come up because Jeff hates the genre and Brad isn't a fan of League haha. Weirdly that doesn't bother me all that much though.
