Seemingly not, the other people at least have a sense of lanes and game flow. Dan probably played 10 minutes before jumping in. There is a tutorial that covers most of what you need to know to get started.

It's incredibly easy, just run at the enemy team, feeding them xp and gold. It's called intentional feeding and is a basis for reporting someone. Though I mean it's not like Dan is doing it on purpose, he's just really really bad.

Because I've been matched up in the same team as people like Dan who single-handedly lost my team the game. There is just no way of coming back once you got someone on your team who doesn't know anything about the game. Waste of 30-40 minutes. You can probably see how that is annoying.
