This'll possibly be one of the best weekends ever, content-wise. We got over two hours of Demo Derby on our hands, potential Rorie content with the WoW beta, a D4 Beast QL and Patrick's Bit Bash thing.

They deviated a bit from the wishlist I devised at the beginning of the week but I'm still very happy with what they ended up putting out. And apart from the QL EX, they did it without Jeff.

It was really amazing listening to the Brian Lehrer Show the other day. He was speaking about how novels and movies were looked down upon by most in the 19th and early 20th centuries. Today, they're both highly respected forms of media. It's going to be amazing when one day, DOTA 2 will be considered a respectable video game.

Cable management and attaching all those tiny case led/button connectors to the mother board are the worst parts of building PCs nowadays. Everything else is cake. The heat sink issue in the GBeast video was unfortunate.

I like how when Patrick joined they slowly eased him into the video content cycle but with Dan he has been with the site barely 2 months and he is already in 80% of the videos.

Maybe its just more noticeable since Jeff has been in less then normal.



Also I think I need a gif of Roundabout driver turner her head.

But I'm just saying, CNET has offices in NYC too. They may not be in the same building like in SF, but I'm sure there are nerdy pocket protector tech guys they could have asked... and basically generate content for both GB and CNET.

At this point I feel like the whole reason we're in this pickle is because I was lazy and didn't do the research on the parts myself. Though to be honest, the chip not coming with a heat sink is not even something I would have thought to check.

Also, not gonna lie. That case is terrible.

It's a pretty tiny case. However, video cards have gotten monstrous in the last two years. My new video card (770) barely fits within the case that fit a 560Ti in 2011-2014.

I was actually kind of shocked it didn't have rails for the hard drives. I knew we were getting a cheapo, but that was a let down. Love those things.

Haha, fair enough. Maybe you guys should just get a new case as well... since it looks like you'll have to get a heatsink from Newegg anyway.

I spent like a month researching to build the computer I use now, since I bought a processor that required more power then the motherboard had. Then I accidentally bent the pins and ruined the processor out of frustration. (I've always had problems with the pins on AMD processors) I did get like half the money back since the store did give me wrong info in the first place.

You can definitely make some stupid mistakes if you don't pay closer attention to the parts and double check them.

Well like you said, the best way to learn is from mistakes. Next time GB East decides to move to backwoods Georgia, you'll know to buy a bigger case. Lol.

Jacob Jones and the Bigfoot Mystery looks charming as heck. I got extremely excited when I saw it plays like Layton/Puzzle Agent. Always happy when a quick look shows off a game I've never heard of that looks awesome.

I wish more people played the Puzzle Agent games. They were weird in the best way.
