Giant Bomb #9 | More Dan Meets The Eye

The WoW videos are alright but there's a limit to how long Dan can run around killing mobs by himself while Brad reminisces about stuff he did in 2005. That limit is about 4 episodes, I think.

Not trying to be insensitive but does Alexa Ray Corriea have a disorder?

I had to turn off the morning show early in because it was sounding like she was having a manic episode every time she spoke. I'm okay with off topic chat but fifteen to twenty minutes of how cute her dog is in a high pitch voice was more than I could handle.

Agreed, it's good they're (temporarily?) stopping it for now. A check up every now and again could be fine though.

I wasn't really into the WoW stuff (the first ep. was fine as a mini-Bombcast in which Jeff and Dan exchange opinions) but Rorie (<3) really made it worth watching for me. Almost sad the feature is ending now but the replacement will make it worth it.

If you have access to Hulu and you either played Persona 4 or just watched the Endurance Run, but never played Golden, then I strongly recommend watching the P4 Golden anime that's available free on there (albeit with long commercial breaks).

It focuses for the most part of the new scenarios introduced in Golden; to the point where the overall plot would be almost incomprehensible for anyone who didn't know P4 already. But that gives them the freedom to really go to town on the new stuff from P4G, and even expand on it. The first five episodes were pretty good, but episode six was amazing.

My Snes copy of Chrono Trigger just arrived. Thats my Extra Life gaming pretty much sorted this year. Tempted to watch the Endurance Run again to get ready.

It's also on Crunchyroll.

I have a Hulu subscription and the commercials during anime are unfuckingbearable. Last episode I watched had 60 seconds at the start, and 2 90 second breaks in a half hour show. The quality dips up and down, especially coming out of commercials. Oh and how about waiting for commercials to buffer? I'd rather them put 5 minutes of commericals at the beginning of the episode and let me watch it unbroken.

Is this different from the other Persona 4 anime that was released?

So I'm typically not the guy who complains about them being "bad" at games…. but watching Dan have absolutely no idea how to play his warrior in wow is really surprising. It's also really eye opening to what it must have been like to be one of "those" guys that I used to hate getting grouped with back when I used to play. The thing is, it's not even that hard, read the description of the abilities you get and use a little bit of common sense to develop a skill rotation.

I really thought Dan would take the time to figure it out considering how he's typically pretty good at games and rather competitive when it comes to doing well.

I don't know, it's not that big of a deal, it's just surprising.

Well here we go... I decided to go through old bombcasts... Starting with first one of 2009 and catching up to this week.. I should have enough stuff for a while lol.
Been doing that too because I got into Giant Bomb a little late. Started at Arrow Pointing Down and now at 1-13-2009.

Rorie: "you have mail too ... DanFan - I bet he is going to give you like 80 gold or something like that"

Dan: "really?"

Rorie:"...maybe it's hate mail"

:D

Well, the first thing I want to see return is the Nintendownloads segment. If it doesn't have the shop music, so be it. :p

(Although Brad is obviously not opposed to keeping certain traditions alive.)

What gave you that idea?

Jeff recently said that the press releases are not wacky any more - they are just normal and boring - which killed any chance of a comeback.

Its been too long since Dave came back in again for some more content. I know with Vinny having moved now we've lost a chance for the proper Random PC team but I would still love to get some more of those. They were originally planning it but nothing happened.

You ever go through an amicable break up? "We will still see each other! We can still be friends!". Nah. Dave would rather do the tested podcast on his rare visits to the city.

I'm going through OG Persona 4 for myself for the first time (watched the ER already though), I should probably watch this.

Dave works out of the same office as Tested, which is why he guests on their podcast occasionally. I've given up hope on ever seeing Blade Runner completed. :(

Given that he's working hard on his startup, which just went live, yeah it's probably best to assume he won't be on GB content for a while, if ever again.

I'm actually surprised that stuff hasn't blown up more then it has, the internet usually loves to run with this kind of garbage, especially with those Kotaku implications.

Probably for the best, and this thread is maybe no the best place to discuss it.
