I don't think I ever actually watched all of it. I know most of what happens during it I guess but I think I only watched the beginning few episodes.

Finally just got around to starting MGS3, and it's already off to a wonderful start. I think this will be the most entertaining one yet.

I had no idea Kyle Cooper did the titles for MGS3. I mean, it's been around 10 years since I played it, but I figured I would have come across that information at some point since then. Easily, one of my favorite title designers out there, and this was no exception!

edit: Rorie reminds me of Andre from Prison School in that photo, haha

Finished MGS3 ep 2. Dan wasn't that bad. People made it sound like he was a major distraction. I thought Dan's suggestions were useful. Naked in box, hahaha

Stuff like the naked/box calls probably wouldn't happen unless Dan said to do it, considering neither of those things really have a reason to happen otherwise (the box is made obsolete by the camo, and the naked camo is pretty much useless).

Agreed. A lot of what he was telling Drew was stuff he would have never found out on his own, and stuff that a lot of people found out by looking on the internet anyways.

I wholly disagree about the box.
gets SUPER useful later in the game.

Also, why did Kojima ruin this game with this? You guys probably know what I'm talking about.

Yeah, I agree. I think people forget that Drew isn't a "Vinny", hes not the type that just explores the limits of a game and does wacky stuff. He needs a little direction. Telling him that he can shoot the bridge and throw snakes at people are things Drew would likely never discover on his own.

It didnt really seem like a luck thing so much as just getting
the AI to cooperate. I was lucky, I just had the enemies file into a corridor and I mowed them down with the M63 or whatever the big machine gun was. That thing basically carried me through the game.

Also I was about to post about how that game really helps me understand more about what I've read about the MGS story from wikis and the like but then
I finished the credits and wait what excuse me?

Smoke grenades and claymore are your best friend for that
escort mission.
You can also use TNT to
to blow up a tree trunk that functions like a bridge so the enemy can't follow you past that point.

All the crappy on-rails sections at the end on the motorcycle. Not fun.
100 billion dollars doesn't really seem like enough money to control the world.
I think that's all I can think of right now. Aside from what I've already said about
the escort mission.

also I'm bummed because I
tranq'd the boss at the end (made easy by using snow camo during the fight) but I didn't make it over to her camo drop in time because I was using the mosin.

M63 helps. Infinite ammo, hold down that button and sweep the area. Snake does a Rambo yell. It's cool.

I wouldn't really care, but it seems like they just did their dumb panel/wrestling thing at PAX South. Why are they so locked into PAX's schedule? GDC isn't some fluff videogame expo. It's a real thing, that can provide some really interesting content.
