The features look amazing. It's just that the graphics are muddy and gross, and the voice acting, animation, and story look like the usual Bethesda garbage.

What's the release date for the Obsidian DLC?

Why is it surprising that a Bethesda game looks like a Bethesda game? Cmon man.

It started to be pretty obvious once they were showing a crazy amount of content from all sorts of different areas and game systems, but until the presentation I really didn't think Fallout 4 would be this year. Good on them for keeping it quiet until it matters.

Provides options.

GAF bitches about options.

Come on guys. Everything is optional and they added depth.

I have yet to play a single Bethesda game where the base gameplay loop was actually worthwhile. Crap combat with shallow, non-essential character building on top of incredibly janky engines. Fallout 4 could have more content and options than any other game in existence, the best story ever told, and, hell, could even be setting the bar in visuals, and it would still be a mediocre to bad game if they can't fix the fundamentals.

It's nice to hear Todd say they focused on getting combat right this time around, but I'll believe it when I play it at this point. Rockstar said the same thing about GTAV and failed again; it's clear these open world focused studios just have different priorities and I don't really like applauding those.

Combat, artstyle, and building stuff seems great.

Dialogue, four ME-style options, and way too much crafting is making me incredibly wary.

Doom wasn't the disaster I was expecting, but there were a lot of things that stood out to me that weren't great.

Dishonored will be great, but I wanted to see gameplay.

he called the pip boy thing though, so

Even he seemed like he couldn't believe it. That was hilarious.

So yeah, I started playing F3/NV and never got in to them but this game looks awesome. I wanted a game where a shooter is a shooter and hopefully this is that. Looking forward to it.

That was amazing. First conference I've ever just watched the entirety of without getting bored and reading GAF at the same time.

WHERE IS FALLOUT SHELTER.

The problem they had was that outside of Fallout they didn't have a whole load of exciting stuff to show off, it was all "oh yeah okay cool" (and I say that as someone who is excited for Doom). But man, they had a lot of Fallout and it was good stuff.

I look forward to seeing all the crazy and creative stuff that people come up with for crafting/mods. The zeitgeist around Fallout/Elder Scrolls for that kinda stuff is great.

The voiced MC with a narrative of his/her own really made this feel like not Fallout.

Nothing here looked remotely interesting, but then again I thought FO3 was super boring, so I guess its good to know that 4 isn't gonna change my mind.

New Vegas triumphed in creating a believable world where there was no black and white where every action you took and every quest you went on played into that. This presentation feels like "look at all the awesome crazy shit we're doing bros!" I don't think that's a bad approach, it's just not what I want from a Fallout game. In fact things like "look at all the sick settlements you can build!" actively take away from the strife of living in a post apocalyptic world.

Doom looked kinda boring.
Battlecry...what
Elder Scrolls Online...who?
Legends of Tamriel....why?
Dishonored 2: YES
Fallout 4: YES

Good show.
And Todd Howard really did one hell of a job to present the Fallout stuff. Very likeable.

Like, I could have dealt with another Fallout game with Bethesda quality writing. I would have been the big dumb nerd complaining about it for years, but I would have dealt with it.

The dialogue system actually made me think, "I might not ever play this game."
