Brad's right about the Gears enemies just sponging up bullets. It's a shame a series developed in the wake of RE4 missed something so basic - enemies reacting to being hit.

Man, that was kind of a lackluster conference. The backward compatability and Hololense looks cool, but besides that meh. Rare game looks like it has potential and the indies look cool.

Halo just looks like it's gone in a horrible direction and I just can't get interested in it anymore.

Some of their big games like Halo and Gear aren't my thing but objectively I think that was a pretty great conference. Backwards compatibility was a big surprise, the indie games they highlighted looked great, sea of thieves looked interesting and that Inafune game was intriguing and another nice surprise.

Tomb Raider looked visually great but painfully linear.

Hololens I am super skeptical about, wasn't there a hands on piece from the verge basically saying the demo in january was a lie?

hasnt it been reported that Call of Duty is going with Sony this year for marketing?

its always weird when these guys dont know stuff that everyone on Gaf or something knows

A very good showing.

There's no new game I'm very interested in, but the backwards compatibility moved my Xbone purchase date up two years.
In it for Scalebound and 360 JRPGs!

edit: rememberd Recore. waiting for gameplay on that.

Well that's a super underwhelming conference right? Like I just wasn't into much going on there.

It's still surprising they haven't gotten any new huge franchises to add to their marquee.
