Wait, was Cowboy responsible for getting PS3 fightsticks to work on PS4? In his spare time because he thought it would be fun?

Cowboy is awesome.

Nuclear Throne is never coming out of early access is it? >_>

This E3 was by far the best in years, both from announcements and just the game's in general

Haha I was talking about how little crazy shit they said during the announcements. Those are not games they seem into beyond "huh that's crazy"

Oh, I see. That was pretty much my reaction, as well. The releases are likely far off and one is a remake, so cool but whatevs.

I'll still check them out, though. Gotta kill Lan Di someday.

The uncharted thing was awkward as shit, it's a shame. Live demo folks

I dunno, I feel like there have been so many live demo screwups over the years that I don't really blink an eye at the Uncharted thing. The big surprise was learning they didn't go to video immediately, and actually played the second run on another devkit.

The screwups I think people remember most are attached to products that the gaming forum zeitgeist really didn't like (Kinect, Wii Music, motion controls in Skyward Sword). No one really talks about, say, that time the controller disconnected during the Modern Warfare 3 demo at the Microsoft conference a few years back.

Boyes is a great talker. Such a steal for Sony. In conference or out, never sounds like he's pitching a pyramid scheme to me like EA's people.

Cowboy is just, awesome.

This segment is just so much better than their "talk overs", it's pretty great actually. They really bummed me out during that. Felt like they didn't want to be watching games.

Dude I'm just saying it was awkward, I'm not trying to make a "thing" out of it :p

Yeah I like this new era of Sony and MS having actual personable people representing them. Now we just need Nintendo to get on board.

i feel like it would be way easier to doubt Horizon's visuals if Guerrilla wasn't making it.

if there's one thing that studio can do, it's make ridiculous looking tech showpieces.

People will say Reggie but I hate him, dude is super arrogant and looks like he wants to beat you up and steal your girl

The more Horizon gets compared to Monster Hunter by official PlayStation people, the more I become suspicious of Horizon.

I want the dinosaur hunting to only be one part of that game - if this is just RoboMonHun, I'm not down.

Adam trying to spread more misinformation about Hololens than Microsoft

Oh right Grin.

It makes the VR thing even more weird. Every time I hear about it I go "Wait, Starbreeze is doing VR?" like I woke up from a dream and keep expecting reality to make sense again. Now I'm going to add another layer of "The Bionic Commando guys?"

I asked him about emulation and called it a "legal gray area" and he basically almost bit my head off for calling it that.

What did you expect him to say? He's the President of America of a company that is an IP holder for a lot of shit that gets emulated/romhacked/etc. without Nintendo seeing a cut of the profits. His job is to make his company money, emulation is a lost opportunity to him.

Well, my question was quite a bit deeper than that. I know they're super protective of their IP, so my question essentially dove into a) how their content creation policy related to twitch plays pokemon, and what kind of discussions they had over at corporate regarding allowing it to continue and b) the fact that many emulated games are handheld games being emulated on mobile phones, and the fact that much of the value prop of a handheld game is the ability to play it on the go. If they're not offering consumers the ability to play old handheld games on the go through some kind of official emulation (their new mobile platform is likely to have something like this, he mentioned both new content and old classics), then obviously consumers are going to fill that niche themselves through illegal emulation.

Jeff, mention Summer Lesson, PLS
