Phil is always great. Yes, the Windows 10 store sucks. You know what else sucked real bad when it started? Steam. Having to buy HL2 through that pissed a lot of people off. Now look at it. They will get it figured out.

There's more to it than that. Steam never tied the entire store to a completely new executable standard.

I hope you guys look into more payment options for different countries. The game pricing for MS's store games in Brazil is really high and there aren't many payment options like Steam offers. I think that's really important.

I'm not going to announce anything unannounced, but one of the biggest difficulties over the last couple years was just re-engineering some problematic systems and converging stores between Windows, Windows Phone, and finally Xbox. It was an unfortunately massive undertaking which sucked away resources from actually building and improving core features.

That works is pretty much done now. Which means going forward the focus can finally be on features rather than architecture. That could easily include new payment methods.

That is true, but there is still a fair comparison there. I really want them to continue to clean up UWP, because that is where I plan on playing Xbox exclusives now. The plus side of that now is if the PC version is shit like QB, I don't have to pay extra to play it on the console.

Cross buy is great. UWP is shit.

If the Windows Store was just another Origin or Uplay (even the games were not on Steam at all) I wouldn't really mind. It would be annoying but not the end the of the world.

The way it is right now is really really bad. Sure they keep saying they'll fix it but end of the day is that even if they adds up all the features, it will never be a Win32 app.


I mean, ffs, they released a Forza game without wheel support...
