Incorrect. After the original actor for Toad died, they replaced him with a CGI expy as a tribute.
We're about to enter a weird period where the best version of every multiplatform game is going to be PC or Scorpio. But Sony is going to continue paying for exclusive content. So people will be forced to choose between the best looking version of their games, or the more content-complete version. I am kinda curious which option most people will pick.
In previous years the choice was a no-brainer, since whoever had the most powerful platform was also buying out exclusives. But for now the lesser platforms will keep getting exclusives, since Sony has the biggest install base and the most money to spend.

I think the consumer that has three or even two platforms is far less than the people reading and posting on here think it is so there really isn't going to be a choice for many people, it's already been made. RDR2's highest selling platform is going to be PS4 because that has the largest install base. Co-marketing deal is going to have little effect on that.

I identify with the boredom these guys have for e3. I too have watched it since the mid 90's. A shame they're crucified for their lack of over the top hype from 15 year olds discovering e3 for the first time.
Well yeah, I think the broader market will probably just choose PS4 since that's the ecosystem they are locked into. I just mean that I'm curious what people on NeoGAF and other enthusiast communities will choose, since the people here generally have a wider array of options.

I hung out with Drew for like 3 hours when he did an Alt-F1 meetup here in Austin. He and Danny were of course the nicest dudes ever. I hope they come back.

I met them at PAX East in 2014, before I even started listening to the Bombcast. So I wasn't freaked out or starstruck. They had arranged a GiantBomb meetup party at a restaurant close to the convention center, but for some reason they forgot to put themselves on the guest list. Security would not let them in. So I waited in line outside the restaurant/bar with Brad and Patrick. The only reason I knew it was GiantBomb was because I recognized Patrick from his time as a writer for Gaming-Age and the pics he posted of himself on NeoGAF. Even if I had been a fan at the time, I'm not sure what I would have said to them.
If I had met them in 2015 though, I definitely would have thanked and congratulated Brad for getting Destiny onto the GOTY list.

All I know is I need to play a game of what we called "DUI" in college with Dan (dumb name I know). It's Mario Kart 64 but you finish a canned 12oz beer before you finish your race. Can't drink and drive at the same time.
Dan doesn't read GAF but this is an open challenge.

It's not like they really showed anything in his wheelhouse. I expect him to only really pipe up when Destiny is shown at the Sony conference, or maybe during the Nintendo stream.

There are several of us Austinites that post regularly in the GB community thread. I think only a couple of us attended the meetup, but there were hundreds of people there so I'm not sure.
They should let Brad host all these things. It's obvious hosting brings him to life.
