Giant Bomb @ E3 2017: <>

It entirely depends on what they do with it. The basic gameplay looks pretty standard, but if they use that format for over-the-top, Fast and Furious-style stunts - it could be a pretty fun time.

I like the concept of an 'action racing' game, and this could fill my desires.

The amount of "takedown shots" and switching to cut scenes just seemed a bit much. Plus the crashes are limited since they are using real car brands.

I've seriously wasted a couple hours dicking around with the customization because of that track

that shit is pure HEAT

It's a shame that the customisation is so lacking.

I don't hate Crackdown! What is with people throwing all this hyperbole onto quotes? Sheesh.

To build up a narrative that's in line with what my current level of drunkness wants it to be. Also I was just kidding. Though, why'd you think it was overrated?

Halo isn't a thing any more. MS has no huge properties and no new killer franchises. Why would man buy a Scorpio if than can buy a Pro or high end PC?

A high end PC is more expensive than a Scorpio and PS4 Pro is less powerful. Kinda pointless to evaluate Scorpio when we're like 12 hours away from learning all the facts, but if you want to watch 4K BluRay or play games in native 4K there's a pretty good case to be made for it. It seems increasingly likely that Scorpio will have the superior version of pretty much every multiplatform console release.

There's still console exclusive third party games like Red Dead Redemption 2.

If RDR2 runs at 4K on Scorpio only, that's a big selling point for MS.

But I definitely agree that Microsoft needs to have a major overhaul of their first party situation. It's fucking DIRE right now.

How many of the YouTubers in the EA Conference actually make gaming videos?

I looked up that dude who fucked up the Need for Speed intro, and he makes Prank videos and lifestyle vlogs. I could not find a singe game-related video on his list of uploads. EA got him simply because they wanted a YouTuber with 10 million subscribers. He didn't even promote his appearance on Twitter or YouTube, so it's not like all those followers were even going to turn up to watch him.

Ok, that is surprisingly good. I wouldn't expect that music in a Tekken, but I haven't played one since the ps1 days.

It's actually quite a fun game if you're into fighting games.

I assume that you're also into the ed banger records catalog? :p

Yes.

Has that been announced?

I thought Rockstar partnered with Sony last time and that worked out well for them. I also don't think 2K will want to leave money on the table. They ain't stupid. GTAV says hello.

I barely play fighting games (I played the Soul Calibur that had Yoda and I like Super Smash) and I picked up Tekken. Even without knowing what i'm doing, I really like it. It's a fun game even for people who aren't into fighting games!

Console-exclusive......meaning there is no PC version of RDR2 (not the commonly accepted definition of "console exclusive" but I see what he's getting at). So RDR2 on Scorpio will be the definitive version of the game until a PC port gets released. Scorpio will likely have the best versions of FIFA and Madden, since EA doesn't put much effort into PC versions of their sports titles. I don't think they even make Madden on PC.

As of right now there's no PC version announced. I'm sure it'll end up there eventually, barring some catastrophic fuck up like the first game, but until then... the best version being on Scorpio is a selling point, I think.
