I see we are at the "GB wasn't hyped about the FF7 remake" part of this rollercoaster, i honestly though it would be Shenmue that kicks this off lol.

If you come to GB expecting them to get hyped for Japanese non-fighting games, you haven't been paying attention.

I don't know why but giantbomb stream this year looks low energy. And I don't like the new guy.

I'm weed E3'ing but wondering if maybe I should be watching the Easy A's instead.

I think since drew left giantbomb peeked and is on its way out. I still listen to the podcasts though.

Then you should go watch Easy Allies. Their coverage is pretty good too. No one is stopping you and I don't think anyone minds at all which one you watch.

Why do so many people like to discredit something that doesn't come out in the next 6 months?

I mean, obviously, if they tease a game for 10 years I get why that'd become a negative, but a year out? Two? Three? Why is that so bad? It gives you something to look forward to, to speculate about, to discuss hopes/fears with friends, etc. I'm not a fan of the notion that a game has to come out so soon or showing it was useless.

Not calling you out specifically Breezy, it's just a topic that I've been thinking out about recently and I'm using your post as a launchpad. =P

Its been 2 years since it got announced andlast we heard theyre shifting production to in house.

I mean, like Deatb Stranding, there is something iffy about advertising something that wont be out for many years, or may not come out at all. Like, imagine getting hyped for FF Versus and having to wait 10 years for it to come out. There is nothing wrong with having a healthy doubt, especially when it comes to Square and Shenmues creator. In the formers case they dont have great time tables, in the latters case it was a couple of mediocre games with huge budgets launching a kickstarter.

I must say, I love all the new faces in the GB thread. Welcome to the disgruntled factory!

Fuck all video games

*shows double middle fingers*

But what's been done before has been doing fantastic for them financially.

Good for them i guess but its not doing much for me right now but hey if it ain't broke *shrug*

Wasn't there going to be an E3 prediction podcast by the guys?

that will be the upcoming bombcast

That KH trailer looks good but I doubt it'll be on a stage? Maybe quickly at Sony's, I guess.

I sorta consider myself a KH fan but I played them as they came out, and never played ReCoded or 3DS, so it's been a fair number of years since I last played one. I'm guessing 3'll take long enough that I can get around to 2.8 and refresh my memory (or, well, if it's even longer, play 1.5+2.5; I got the PS3 versions for <$15 total forever ago but should probably just grab that PS4 version...).

I get your point. I guess it's just I don't see something like Death Stranding at risk of not coming out at all. I could definitely see that argument for Shenmue, since it's a Kickstarter. But I also couldn't see FF7R getting canned. It may take too long like XV, but at that point that's development hell that can overtake any game at virtually anytime in development.

And this post reminds me i need to brush up on my KH (i nearly beat the first game long ago i.e got all 99 dalmatians and all the other shit, its just fighting the final boss).

Might as well get them on PS4

Also until both games are out all of these discussions will continue to go nowhere.
To be fair, Square-Enix wasn't hyped about FF 7 Remake either. Poor Cyber connect 2.

Don't worry, I'll vouch for them.
This might be my new favorite copypasta

Probably the game of the show for me since nothing else really grabs me from, Acti, Sony, Microsoft or ubisoft e3 catalog. Yea there might be some amazing unannounced game but i doubt it.

Coverage was pretty low energy today (no I'm not talking about the hype levels or whatever, please don't get defensive and snark on EZA), hope they crank it up a bit tomorrow.

I jus think it's very hard to get excited about EA's conferences, when they have a history of having the worst of the conferences. The rest of the conferences are gonna be way more interesting so they should perk up.

"Gamechangers". Bugger off, EA.

Her seeming like she wants to be there puts her head and shoulders above all the other presenters

She seems nervous and that makes her endearing. It's not her fault she has to follow the typical trash EA E3 script.

GB's commentary is so fun. Cracks me up. I love dry witty humor.

"they flew me out to their studios for free to play the game and it turns out I LOVE it!"

EA's conference was ok. No surprises from them but they did give plenty of gameplay footage. Expectations are never high for this one anyways.

Also the influencers totally fit into the show. Everyone is fake as hell during these press conferences anyway, so who better to hire than the fakest of fake people on the internet, Youtubers, to sell and market products because they have no ethics.

Since so many of you are enamoured by Janina Gavankar it might be worth noting she's a GB fan. I remember being surprised/amused when I saw Vinny confusedly tweeting with a True Blood actress.

Wrong about commas, wrong about everything
How many of the YouTubers in the EA Conference actually make gaming videos?

I looked up that dude who fucked up the Need for Speed intro, and he makes Prank videos and lifestyle vlogs. I could not find a singe game-related video on his list of uploads. EA got him simply because they wanted a YouTuber with 10 million subscribers. He didn't even promote his appearance on Twitter or YouTube, so it's not like all those followers were even going to turn up to watch him.

That's amazing
