Their confusion over Cristiano Ronaldo, Ronaldinho and Ronaldo was pretty great.

The lady from Battlefront being a fan of the site is great. She seemed cool even if the script they gave her was meh.

EAs conference showed one interesting game. It could've been worse I guess. It had the right amount of awkwardness too so pretty good overall.

There are scripts for the E3 stuff? I thought they just went out on stage and wing it.

When I go out there I will probably improvise the whole ting.

I guess their confusion about the most famous soccer players on the planet is analogous to the rest of the world only hearing about Tom Brady but not knowing who he is or what he's done, or how there are like a whole bunch of Mannings (3?) who are good at American football.

Yup, the US are super isolated in that because Ronaldo is a much bigger star everywhere else. Seeing them talk about football and FIFA is always entertaining.

This is accurate.

Who? I think the interest in American Football outside the US is way lower than the interest in soccer in the US. I don't think I know anyone who could mention a player from American Football.

Fun fact:

Ronaldo's parents named him that because they liked former US President Ronald Reagan's name.

edit: I think his dad was a fan of Reagan as an actor, even.

Hell, US basketball players have waaaaaaay more global recognition than US gridiron players.

Does anyone in the US even pretend that anyone outside the US cares about American Football? Baseball, basketball and hockey all have more of a presence worldwide than it does.

Or do they just not even understand that nobody else gives a shit?

Much like how you guys don't give a shit that we know fuck all about soccer, US football fans don't care if the rest of the world gives a shit about American football.

You want someone to get into a racist tirade and see the stock price crash into oblivion?

I'm from the US and couldn't tell you the name of a single "football" player off the top of my head except David Beckham, Mia Hamm, and I only know Pele from that EA conference stuff. No idea what his first name is.

Think Microsoft will show any interesting games today? Or will it all just be third party and sequels?

They will assuredly deep dive on whatever will look the prettiest on Scorpio
but still look better on PC
and Crackdown 3 will finally make a proper appearance.

The discussion will hit peak snark when they go into the Shadow of War, AssCreed, Anthem "non exclusive and I can't see 4k improvements on this stream" segment.
