I feel bad for Will and Norm. Honestly, what they should have done is unveiled the new site today but with the forums closed, and then opened them up tomorrow or Monday. That way they could get a look at the fan reaction to the new site and then respond accordingly.
But I guess that wouldn't have stopped Twitter idiots.

They can slightly modify the On the Spot CG set to have GB logos taped over the OTS logo.
It will be like when WWF bought WCW then had a fake WCW show for the last quarter of RAW but it was just using the raw set and ring with the WCW logo projected on it and they got WCW announcers to call it.

Jamie and Adam have fans? I mean fans that know about Tested? How do they know Tested? By googling Jamie and Adam? So then they see Jamie and Adam on the header but all the content by two guys that they don't know and aren't Jamie and Adam? This whole thing is such a mess.

I don't really understand how anyone can think this is a bad business move for Will and Norm. I think they got the best deal out of all the acquisitions. Sure it might not be their faces at the top of the page, but at least they now have the funding and ability to do tons of crazy shit.

Very well said, I predict that when the next podcast is put up people's indignation will be mostly put to rest. It's a little funny that they think Will and Norm are being cast aside when in fact this is the biggest thing to happen to Tested. Most of it should have been obvious but it's nice that it's out there in some form apart from the videos.

Well they could think this is a good move for Will and Norm, but in the end people care most about what they want, and rightfully so. If people don't think the gains made by Will and Norm outweigh what they've personally lost, they're not going to be happy.
It's certainly possibly (and probably likely) that Will and Norm will be able to do better stuff than before, but until we see it, it's just words.
But tweeting the Mythbusters about is still reeeeally low class.

They're just freaked out. We all saw what went down in this thread yesterday when Jeff announced the buyout. Now imagine that, except instead of them just moving into new offices, they would have two new guys from TV that (some) people had never heard of come in and redesign the site so that it's now named after them and also has a picture of the new guys on the header, with the original staff nowhere to be seen on the front page. People would be flipping their shit. However, now that a day or so has passed a majority of the Giant Bomb users are starting to come around to the idea. Give the Tested guys a few days to put out some content and most of the people will have forgotten it.

Pretty much this. Considering so much of the content will be made by them, it seems silly to not have them up there. Sure, put the mythbusters up there, I get why you'd do that, but there's no reason to exclude the other half.
I liked Jeff's wry little "Give it a few weeks" on the topic of not chugging warm 40s.
I think of it as a shallow tribute to the Metroid Prime stand that once valiantly defended Gamespot.

Yep, pretty much. Tested has an expanded focus beyond technology and the Mythbusters guys are going to be doing some video content and articles too. Naturally, they branded it as such, but Norm and Will are still going to be the majority of content.
