its a shame they didnt play further. this game is awesome and there are some "great" moments right after that last cutscene they showed.

Love the comments on Tested's latest video going along the lines of "Hey who the hell are these dudes and where's Jamie and Adam? I thought this was their website!"

Agreed. I bet after that cutscene jeff says, "I am definitely reviewing this game!!".

The story looks like it has soo much potential and I can't wait to play through the game once my backlog settles down a bit. The japanese demo left me really impressed and I love the yakuza series.

yeah I thought that was gonna happen eventually.

A advantage of just branding it as just "tested" instead of "Jamie and Adams Tested" is that the mystbusters fans will bitch less when its just a will and norm video.

Day 1:
GB is done for!!
Tested is gunna be awesomer!
Day 2:
Yay GB is still GB!
Omg will and norm are dead!

It's stunning how that's working out. I must have been one of five people who didn't like the idea from the get go in the announcement topic.

It went from "Will and Norm are going to be on Mythbusters!" to "Oh god wake me up when we can edit posts again!"

I have no idea why this thought crossed my mind, but I just realized that Jeff's termination from Gamespot coincided almost exactly with the release of Mass Effect and his return coincided almost exactly with the release of Mass Effect 3.

The surprise twist ending of Giant Bomb is not that Brad was the evil one. It's that the entire site was viral marketing for the Mass Effect series.

Sorta ME3 Spoiler
So you are saying all of the Giantbomb years were pointless as the ending is ultimately the same whatever?

Are GB videos going to remain ad-free?

No. We've always had the technology in place and some amount of desire to have pre-roll advertising, we just never really had anyone out there selling those spots effectively. It's my hope that being part of this larger, more game-focused group of sites will help us to get better ads than what we were running before.

Premium members, of course, will continue to get an ad-free view of the site. Though the last time we did sponsored quest sets it seemed like people wanted to see those, regardless of their membership status, since there was usually a contest associated with the set. So in those cases (assuming we'll continue to do sponsored quests, we haven't really talked about it much just yet), my guess is that we'll show them to everyone.

People liked sponsored quests?!?

Man, those Dead Island ads they had last year were really fucking annoying, if only for the fact that for some reason after they played they disabled my ability to pause their video player by clicking on the video instead of the pause button.

Aside from that, ads are ads. Sponsored quests are ignorable, pre-roll ads on videos are kinda the thing, and while I find them kind of annoying, I'd rather support content that I like. I won't sit through one on a random trailer or PR video, but for GB content I want to support those guys and I don't have the capacity to send them fiddy buck a year.

True story: I was pulling my hair out during E3 last year trying to get that stupid quest and never did. Then I accidentally got it on some random article a couple months later and was super elated for about five minutes and then was totally sad at the direction my life had taken for pretty much the rest of the week.

If I have to sit through a 30 second commercial for a 30 minute video, not a big deal. That being said, there better not be ads for fucking trailers or videos uploaded on giantbomb that were not made by giantbomb

In the end though, I got premium membership, so no biggie.

Did every "season" of the Bombcast have its own promotional/fan-made art? I haven't followed it from the start but I remember the rainbow one, the cop drama and now the murder mystery.
