It's not boring and generic compared to most of the shooters they have done or will do in the next year. At least you have people diving through windows and off of roofs in slow motion. Hey, maybe they'll do Mario party again!

They raised their points in the correct ways with that. I think Patrick's article on it today was great as well. This guy is just being condescending. There is a right way to raise that point but it seeems clear to me, atleast, that wasnt the point.

I'm glad someone called him out on it, I thought that whole conversation on the Bombcast was a load of shit. I think the industry is very bored right now with this being a transitional year and gaming journalists have nothing else to do but stir up shit that doesn't really matter at all.

While it's true that the way the question is asked on Formspring is stupid I totally agree with the idea. The reaction from journalists in the last weeks is a total double standard and hypocrite for some. They all praise the fact that videogames are getting "serious" and bigger but then turn around and bitch about stuff that's been happening already in other industries (music , movie, etc) for a long time.

I think simply the fact that journalists are suddenly tired of seing violent games. Which is fucking stupid.
That's an cute way to reduce a pretty complex issue into something easily dismissible.
