meh. Calm your mind by thinking the last week's 'lack of content' cancels out with the unnecessary but awesome, super vita live QL.

And hopefully they got a few gdc interviews and what not recorded last week that will trickle out this week.

Totally understandable that Jeff is out. Not questioning that all.

I'm just being impatient is all. If anything this just shows how much we enjoy their content that we go into withdrawal when it's away for only 3 days.

I guess if Jeff was heading up the "big projects" that were coming out soon then that puts the kibosh on them... Obviously the Mass Effect stuff has taken a bit of a hit (kinda get the feeling there was gonna be a much bigger blowout than there ended up being on that), but it's clear to me that these guys are all really good friends, and a knock like this isn't just affecting Jeff right now

That's a pretty good point. I'm sure it becomes pretty difficult to put out content that people expect humor in when you're in the midst of something like this.

Brad and Jeff will hate the ending, Patrick will try to make some big meta-argument about fan expectations and LOST without really knowing what his conclusion is, Vinny will be confused and decide he needs to read the books and replay the first 2 games before playing 3, and Ryan will see no problem with anything and accuse anyone who doesn't like the ending of being an entitled whiny nerd loser.

Think anyone would have managed to get the best ending? Outside of Vinny, since his completionist style would make him the most likely to get it.

Ugh. Worst part is, this is what it's totally going to come to.
 
Hearing Patrick complain about anything is like listening to a toddler who isn't given his candy, I just realized that listening to the podcast where they talk about the final fantasy designer whose been with the team for years. So I really can't wait for the ME3 spoilercast
 
Can't believe they didn't put any content up on Friday. I am so upset, very irritated. What the hell is that shit?! 1 day? Is it that hard to entertain me for a few minutes just once a day? Fuck. Now I gotta wait till later to be entertained today, ugh these guys are slacking.

It's not so much that it clogs up the site, it just seems like the type of content they would normally be against producing.

Eh. Typing this out, I realize that it seems like I'm blowing something super minuscule way out of proportion. Forget I said anything :)
 
Not to sound like I think the guys at GB do nothing, but what do they do?

Alex and Patrick write quite a lot of high quality news articles all the time.

The main five do a podcast on Monday.

Ryan edits it for Tuesday.

Everyone writes a review every now and then.

Everyone plays a game for the quick look every now and then.

So what I'm saying is, what do Jeff and Brad do apart from reviews and the occasional quick look?

Does it really take up so much time in the day to do a quick look?

I just would really like to know how much time has to be put into the content that appears on the website.

Edit: I'm not talking about the recent content on the site, but what has happened throughout the whole time GB has been on the internet.

Wish all sites were like that... but I'm sure getting clicks is somewhat important for your site to stay alive these days.
 
How can Jeff get sick on the day they record the big Mass Effect 3 edition of the bombcast? Now they will have to record tomorrow morning (assuming Jeff is even better by then) which means it will be up late on Tuesday!

Stupid Jeff! This is like 8.8... only worse, because it effects me!!

Side note, I was listening to the GFW 2008 collection and the hero of the web of the guy waiting for Jeff's Halo 3 review was amazing. Simply amazing
 
One thing that I'm not sure I understand is why Alex and Jeff are basically doing most of the reviewing these days. Don't get me wrong, I love Alex's reviews, but it seems like he's writting a lot more than the core crew on GB.

All signs seem to indicate that the fab' five have their hands full lately, but from a reader's perspective I gotta say it's kind of hard to see why.
