All signs seem to indicate that the fab' five have their hands full lately, but from a reader's perspective I gotta say it's kind of hard to see why.

Well Patrick is clearly prepping for a Deadly Premonition Directors Cut Endurance Run. I mean he's the only one of the 5 who didn't run that gauntlet, it's only fair....

I think GB should do some videos with playstation HOME.

It's like game room only creepy.

Plus I haven't touched home since the beta and I am a bit curios recently what is going on in there.

Home seems like the sort of thing the GB guys would laugh at for 3 episodes and then slowly start spending more and more time in. You can almost hear the podcast conversation.

Ryan: How was your weekend Jeff?
Jeff: I stayed in home all weekend.
Ryan: What games did you play?
Jeff: No, I mean I stayed in HOME all weekend... Playstation Home...
::dead silence::

Everytime I see something about home it looks kind of cool, I just don't want to download the massive install it must be at this point

Is whatever "Jeff's Sick Day: A Blurry Extravaganza!" premium? Sometimes there's stuff that's not marked as premium on the timetable but ends up being so.

This would be the best Endurance Run: HOME RUN

Had minimal publisher support and then the entire development team got laid off.

It was a fucking stupid idea in the first place. They shouldn't have went ahead with it unless they knew they had better support. Anyway at least the QL provided a shit tonne of 'entertainment' value.

Home was kinda cool. I got a bunch of stuff for it and there was this cool horro game like thing (forgot what the game was). Not touched it since my account was banned after I got my money back after it was hacked. Don't want to spend all the time I spent getting all the cool and weird free shit for my guy and home.

Not to sound like I think the guys at GB do nothing, but what do they do?

Alex and Patrick write quite a lot of high quality news articles all the time.

The main five do a podcast on Monday.

Ryan edits it for Tuesday.

Everyone writes a review every now and then.

Everyone plays a game for the quick look every now and then.

So what I'm saying is, what do Jeff and Brad do apart from reviews and the occasional quick look?

Does it really take up so much time in the day to do a quick look?

I just would really like to know how much time has to be put into the content that appears on the website.

Edit: I'm not talking about the recent content on the site, but what has happened throughout the whole time GB has been on the internet.

I'd assume something like planning for future content, meeting with PR people, etc. Jeff especially with his editorial position would likely spend a lot of time in meetings with various people trying to grab assets and whatnot, especially given the amount of guests they have on a semi-frequent basis.

I guess there's a lot more behind the scenes stuff that they never talk about.

Next time we'll podcast first, chili after.

It's like any real business. There's shit to do, always.

They are trying to run a video game website that's profitable and competes with the biggest sites out there. Most of this depends on making a very large quantity of original video content. A lot of it which can get pretty elaborate. Wrapped around that is your typical gaming event coverage and reviews. They are trying to achieve a lot with an extremely lean staff and on a budget. I'd imagine that would cause a pretty big workload, a lot of it which you'll never see the results of yourself.

Honestly it would probably be pretty boring. You can wonder around and get items for your house, that's about it. There are some minigames but they aren't that exciting either.
