Giant Bomb Thread 2: A thread on a popular internet message board

I think stone blocks look too clean. I love the way cobblestone looks for castles and huge fortresses.

The Minecraft talk made me start up a new world on the PC. I started building a bio dome of sorts which will have a glass pyramid on top. It shall be glorious.

This, finally considered getting into minecraft then saw the price.

Game used to be like 10? Fuck off games are supposed to get cheaper not more expensive. I'll just play terraria some more doubt I'd like minecraft as much especially at at 4-5 times the price.

The reasoning was that you were paying for an unfinished product that had the potential to never be "finished." At least, I believe that was the reason for the lower price back in the day.

What I played of Minecraft back in the day, I don't think I could be convinced to spend $26 on it. A friend paid for my beta as a commission for some art, but I stopped playing after a week or so.

Crazy how much traction the mod has gotten over the last couple days. Word of mouth does exist on the internet and it is a strong force.

It doesn't really matter what the reasoning is, what matters is that by raising the price they lost multiple sales just from people in this thread.

You just know Vinny's played devil's advocate a couple times during that QL. I fully expect to hear "Yeah, try going into that town, let's do it!" and "Go fight those zombies!" - Drew is too nice to not do what he's told when Vinny's pestering. :p

Brad in DayZ would be like that episode of Dexter's Lab where he goes outside for the first time and every animal in the wilderness attacks him at once.
 
I hope they do another Minecraft QL after watching that monday vid.

I've enjoyed the trials stuff and the Quick Look Second Looks are always cool as they've shown you the basics and then they've found something really cool or a bit of depth they want to show off so they are always "look at this cool stuff!"
 
I have to say, I find it kind of funny that they wouldn't give Minecraft the light of day when it was PC-only, but now that there's a 360 version they seem into it.

It probably has to do with getting review copies and getting sucked in unexpectedly. Jeff does say that everyone should be getting the PC version anyways.

A: I guess? It's more that seeing it on the 360 got me to go back and see what the PC version has turned into now that all this time has passed. It's definitely a more interesting thing now than it was back then. That said... it's no Terraria.

I might be imagining things but when Minecraft was first a thing, I thought there where several Giant Bombcast late 2009 that talked about Minecraft in depth.
 
There are about a million hours or so online of people doing boring shit on Minecraft. People have made fucking youtube careers out of it.

The new and exciting game please.
 
It's not really the game that makes TNT :p
But a DayZ one would be fantastic indeed, even if they are propably going to be swarmed by GB creepers.
 
OK, I decided to go look at the Starhawk OT to be fair, and... yeah, that game looks great. Minecraft offers so much dicking around potential but Starhawk could be the first shooter TNT in a while that isn't boring as shit.

If only they could do both.

If they were at the old office they might have had a chance to do dual TNTs.

If they're short on games they should do Ys on Steam, like they said they might two or so "I love mondays" ago.
 
Starhawk has a slight Battlefield quality to it in the sense of potential for random chaos, but that doesn't beat the potential a Minecraft TNT has.
 
If Minecraft is TNT'd, they have get some more players in.
Put 4 screens in the room or something. That game is amazing when played in co-op.
