Giant Bomb Thread #4: A thread of perceived slights

Just watched the Urban Trial QL, it's so typical of those Xbots to hate on a game just because it's on PS3, and love a very similar game on 360, I remember the same bullshit when they were shitting on Haze but praising Halo. It's just so transparent, it's embarrassing really.

Seriously though, I don't think RedLynx are actually the originators of these games, there were lots of flash versions of these things probably a decade ago at this point, that's not to say this isn't a shameless rip-off, but I don't think the 'original' was actually anything original either.

I WAS TOTALLY LIKE YEAH UNTIL I READ YOUR SPOILER..then I was like..oh..right. Ahem. Yes. Still, not the first time people have liked mainstream versions of shit that's been around for ages.

Man, I can't help but remark, the level and frequency of video content over the last couple weeks has just been staggeringly good.

And this week, live video content every single day.
Keep it going chaps, it's really making me value my subscription.

I see Patrick is using the same criteria I utilized when I recently grew a beard. As soon as my fiance gave it an enthusiastic thumbs up and kept talking about how much she loved it, I knew I was screwed and couldn't shave it off.

Last night I went to watch an episode of the Persona 4 endurance run on the boxee, and its listed under Chrono Trigger now [only up to episode 42 mind you] and everything else is listed under Deadly Premonition.

I find this amusing considering last week on the bombcast there was a good amount of discussion about archiving stuff.

They may not be, but the attitude and visual design of this game are practically a carbon copy of what RedLynx has done on the 360. As we said in the video, if the legal standard for infringement is "creating confusion in the marketplace" (I don't know that it is), you could likely make a convincing argument for infringement here. I guarantee a casual observer who's only passingly familiar with RedLynx's games would look at screenshots of this and assume it's from the same people.

There's plenty or reason to eye roll at some of the things that go on in this thread, but when a prominent game reviewer says he has to rage quit a very high-profiled, AAA game I think it really bears discussion. Sounds like a lot of his gripes coincide with the Arstechnica preview.

But... but he didn't say "high-profile" or "AAA" anywhere. Do you see my point?

BE COOL, THREAD.

Happened to a friend of mine. He only plays Trials at my house and he said to me with full excitement that Trials is coming for his Vita. I think it's pretty blatant and shameless.

I've never played a Sim City game, but that seems like a really small city for a game about building cities. Am I missing something?

How the fuck did this get a 9.5 from Polygon?

Seriously?

I haven't kept up with the game at all, but this is really disappointing. Why did they limit the size? Technical limitations?
