Giant Bomb Thread #4: A thread of perceived slights

Lucked out and logged in to find a Sleeping Dogs quicklook live. It's crazy that I've gotten as much entertainment from Vinny playing it as I did playing it. Well, hour wise, can't say I did anything close to Vinny's open world shenanigans on my playthrough.

Hmmm

A Kinect Rodeo game quicklook, but still zero God of War coverage. Paints a picture of priorities.

Yeah, it paints a picture that nobody on the staff cares the least bit about yet another God of War game, one that comes after the "last" God of War game. Who does care about that game, and among those people, who actually needs video coverage of the game to know what it's about?

Let me guess. Somebody with no sense of humor puts Kratos into situations where he grunts, yells, and murders guys while tapping button prompts.

You can make anything seem shitty if you just talk dismissively. GoW:A is a big enough release that it should/will get coverage. At least, I'd hope so. I'm not gonna complain about the order it gets QL'd, but it would be pretty unfortunate if it didn't get one at all.

I don't even feel like Vinny is playing the same Sleeping Dogs as I did. I played it mostly straightforward and encountered one minor bug during the entire playthrough. Vinny's Wei lives in this funhouse mirror universe where nothing is sane and cars do backflips through space.

Sucks that I'm missing this live...
I feel your pain, LiK. : (

I'm still amazed at how much Sleeping Dogs content GB has produced at this point. The way this keeps up, Vinny could probably make a convincing argument for it to be the 2013's 2012 game of the year.

Same, which is why I didn't care for Sleeping Dogs. I never got enough points to change my appearance despite doing some side missions (or I never figured out how to change it), and it felt stupid to act silly when my character is an undercover cop. As a result, I played a game with flat characters and ho-hum mission structure. At least the melee combat was fun.
