Seems like Jeff is going to be on the GDC Bonus Round

I thought Infinity would be a cheap rip off of Skylanders, but it seems to stand on its own. I never did buy Skylanders. Infinity could easily take all of my money.

Yeah, it's in a class of its own alright. It's like a Mario game where you have to buy Mummy Mario dolls to play the desert world, Tarzan Mario dolls to play the jungle world, Penguin Mario dolls to play the ice level, Dragon Mario to play the Lava world, etc.

It's the most despicable form of DLC I've ever seen. Unless the game comes with one character from every playset (LOL) you'll have to buy a shitload of toys to even be able to play most of the levels in the game.

Well to be fair they're saying each 'set'--which the base game would have to come with at least one--comes with a 6~ hour "campaign" + the toy box mode thing.

But yeah, like all childrens toys they're wildly overpriced and pretty exploitable.

I'm really liking this trend of extremely simple, but competitive games. Sportsfriends, and now Divekick. Hopefully someone gives the minimalist competitive treatment to a shooter soon.

I wished they treated it more like a podcast instead of a train wreck.

I'll take it as some sort of perfect storm type deal. The bands prank, the verbal jabs, the breast milk, the liqour, the usual level of awkard questions from the Q&A, etc. They themselves joked about sensing a confrontational vibe around the room during the panel. I sort of enjoyed it in a warped way but would not mind if future panels never reach this level of absurdity again. This will probably go down in Giant Bomb legend as that one PAX panel that should never be spoken of again but will.

Am I the only one that never really 'notice' these things? Like I notice Klepek likes to interrupt more often than one would like him to... but I guess I usually never am 100% focused on the podcast/video cause I usually watch while doing something else, or listen to podcast on the car.

And interview dump truck is some great stuff. I might just be 'out of the loop', but I'm really amazed at how well these indie devs can interview. Lack of any media training gloop really makes them quite interesting dudes that I'd support.

Finally watched the pax panel..dunno what some of you guys are talkin about. Alex was absolutely fine, barely said anything. If anything the awkward moments were with Patrick trying to explain anything. I cracked up when he told the giant story about the metro guy from russia and his big finisher was "and he understood all these languages! fascinating!" which would only be surprising to an American. I dunno why Brad even goes to those things though, dude has absolutely nothing to say about anything. Ever. Kinda makes it seem like he doesn't appreciate the platform he has..but whatever.

That is kind of a dickish thing to say though.

Some people just don't like to talk too much at public events. I sure as heck don't.

Wasn't meant to be dickish, just an observation that him sitting there staring at the table for two hours doesn't seem enjoyable for him. Even his tiny interaction with the fan who asked about ME3 comes off as whatever. Krist, I'm not lambasting the guy, calm down. If anything I'm lambasting Patrick. Glad to see he has no defense force though.

I hope they do a Sportsfriends TNT when those games finally come out for realsies. Best spectator games I've watched and played in a long time.
