Giant Bomb Thread #4: A thread of perceived slights

watching the GDC after hour, Jeff is so active and energetic whenever carrie is around. We should just bring Carrie every time Podcast is recorded.
She was, by far, the best female podcaster/personality/whatevertheycallthemselves in the games enthusiast press. Damn shame when she left GameSpot, pretty sure there was a GAF thread too.

Holy shit they need to close the Q&A part of their panel and never do it again.

Watch the last PAX Prime panel, it went a lot better.

Actually, that panel in general was just a thing of beauty. East's seemed like a shit show that just leaned far enough towards "show" to be worthwhile. Maybe it's the Boston crowd.

fuck Boston

Yea I skipped it because last year's was unbearable to listen to. Glad to hear it sounds like it was a good idea

Yea, super unbearable. At the same time I've been watching Giantbomb content since day 1, back when they looped a Lady Gaga song live for 2 hours and Dave took his shirt off, that said I can't think of one question to ask them. I know its participation with the fans but they should do something more hands on.

Thanks Leigh.

Wow just watched the Dark Souls quicklook again and I am realizing Matt played very well considering he spent a large amount of time playing in areas he had never been and was explaining his play very well to Brad and the audience. Makes me sad that he isn't apart of the crew =(. Come on CBSi give GB the budget to bring on another staffer!

But Vinny was the one who found Havel and knew to kick the ladder down.

The Vinny t-shirt guy, while still kinda awkward, was at least a cute gesture. And the last question wasn't too bad either, but that was probably because they actually engaged in the question and weren't snarky towards her, rather than the actual question itself.

But yeah, I nearly turned it off at the button guy.

I was at PAX East this year, and honestly going to the Giantbomb panel isn't really worth it. Line is super long, so unless you give up several hours of time you could be spending seeing cool shit, you'll be stuck in the back where you can barely see anything anyway. As for the Q&A portion, there's no single question I really want to ask them. There's countless topics I'd love to have a conversation with them about, and I imagine I'm not alone, but that's not what a Q&A is. So you end up with weird unfiltered questions from the people posting comments below Giantbomb videos.

The videos of the panel that end up being posted online are arguably a better experience than most of the people in that room got.

My guess is he was trying to put a USB stick in the back and it tipped over.

Mine has had a few close calls.

Yeah. And this is why you should bolt that sucker to the wall. These new, flimsy, all plastic, no glass HDTVs aren't made to be on a stand. Especially the large ones. Sometimes I'm afraid of even breathing on them.

lol I remember back in the CRT days, if someone was drunk and fell over a TV it would be them who broke, not the TV.

Don't even bother with an ER if it's not Jeff/Vinny. Seriously.

Even Vinny/Dave ER's are only good if they're accidental ER's.

If MoHo isnt the TNT this week I'm going to instigate the creation of a giant bomb magazine, and then infiltrate CBSi and create a suggestions box system and submit thousands of suggestions to put magazine racks with the giant bomb magazine in the lobby and then go into the lobby and imagine how sweet it would be to knock those magazine racks over and then leave quietly.

Monster Hunter is boring to play let alone watch.

amazing...ly disturbing

It's based on Ryan's story during the GDC after shows. Seriously do people not watch the content, Ryan is messed up! :Lol

Brad is so right. I love vinny on spoilercasts. WHen brad beat Mass effect 3 and they spent an hour talking was so great, especially because of vinny. :D
