Everyone that got it must have got it a bit earlier. It is unavailable right now

iTunes cannot even see it right now

Something has to be wrong with the code

http://www.giantbomb.com/podcast-xml/

That is so weird, since I downloaded it on my iPhone via iTMS and it showed up fine a couple hours ago from my phone. I checked now and it doesn't show up.

I had the same problem last week. The xml feed didn't show the new feed. Tweeted at Ryan and he replied that he looked at the xml file and it was there. Then it showed up half hour later for me.

Just download the mp3 direct from the website in the meantime if it doesn't show up. Something's fucked up on their XML feed and their server setup.

The 2nd chapter is a much bigger obstacle if you ask me. It's by far the longest and the slowest paced.
At least in the second it feels like you're doing something. The wheels are in motion etc.

Personally I got bogged down in the 2nd and 3rd. "Go do 50 quests in that sewer, yes, that sewer you've been going to constantly for the past 20 hours".

There was a bit of sewer shit, but not that much, I thought.

If he got through the piece of shit that was Dragon Age 2 he can get through this.

Indeed. He sounded like he didn't enjoy it at all, but kept at it.

Fair enough. Hopefully they'll fix it up eventually.

Also, I find it hilarious that they talk about Modern Warfare 3 for less then 2 minutes considering how much they talked about Modern Warfare 2 only two years ago.

I've not listened yet but many people, including myself, are kind of bored with the cookie cutter COD approach. Two years ago I was excited for MW2, but now....meh.

Exactly.

Much like THPS and GH before it, Activision are milking that shit too hard. Once a year is too much for me. I skipped blops, and I miiight get MW3. I see this being the last big game, since mw carries such a name. I don't see CoD being an obligatory smash hit in 2012.

Yea, Jeff was right on point with his comment about how much has changed between MW2 and MW3. I mean, they had a separate podcast for MW2's single player alone. I understand some of that was exploiting the hype at the time. But the four of them were earnestly into it. Now...not so much.

Having Gallagher as a Summon in FFXIII-2 had me cracking up, surrounded by 1000's of Watermelons in a 5 minute long FMV.

Any LA Noir spoilers?, I see brads name so I assume so.

They talk pretty vaguely about specifics, but mention some plot devices and characters. Nothing too serious but if you haven't played it you may hear about themes in the game that might give some things away. It depends on how sensitive you are to spoilers.

Just in case though, LA Noire talk starts at 10:18 and ends completely at 36:17.

Very detailed, thank you.

Man, can't access giantbomb from work. Could anyone be so kind and maybe rehost it ?

Also, is Patcher on this one? Or upcoming ones?

Yep that totally changed. I still remember how excited I was was for MW2, can't muster much excitement for the new one.

How far are you? Once you learn to use lock on and manage crowd control with Quen, Yedrin, and bombs, the combat becomes way more interesting. Even using Axii to mind control guys is highly successful and effective. Usually those kinds of spells in most RPGs never work most of the time, but here it is a reliable strategy.

I'm in the start of act three, nearly level 30 or so. I just don't think the combat is particularly fun -- it's not that there aren't a few viable strategies, it's that I don't like any of them, and the strategies don't really evolve, they're the same throughout. I could do it, after several tries -- I didn't want to have to deal with it. I had a lot more fun when I installed a trainer.

i dont know how useful it is but they don't seem to have got the batman aspect of the combat in the w2tcher. like watching Ryan play in the quick look he would always lock onto one guy and focus on them, rather than jumping between them.

maybe that doesnt actually help but i got the impression that was how you were 'supposed' to do it, otherwise they wouldnt have bothered putting that in, and saying they based the combat on batman.

I knew Vinny was going to end up getting The Witcher books (unless he was jolking). Are they any good?

Bioshock Infinite sounds crazy. Can't wait to see the E3 demo.

it's not up on the iphones itunes store (and i dont have access to a PC itunes)... any tricks to downloading it directly to my phone?

This. I have to leave for work soon and will be unable to download it until much later today

Awesome! Will listen to this while I'm having a bath.

The new site design is great by the way. Can't figure out how to get the white option though.

the new site design is essentially the steam store layout minus the auto scrolling. still a vast improvement and its good to get away from the standard blog-esque layout. cheers!

Hit the Sonic Generations segment and Jeff could not be more biased against that game. For a start he said it's on the Wii, and didn't seem to get that it is a compilation of the history - and best of - Sonic. Honestly he could not have been more uninformed.

I really like the new Random option beside Playing Next. I clicked it a few times and got Endurance Run: Persona 4 - Part 16, so of course I hard to start watching. I had forgot just how much Kou loved them balls.

Vinny should TOTALLY buy a racing wheel, they're awesome. Never going back to pauper pad play style for driving games :)

Jeff's insane

Penguin is a more important villain to Batman than Two-Face or Freeze? Crazy talk

Freeze was a Z-grade character until Batman: TAS used him. He is still not used often, doesn't really compare. Penguin is definitely Two-Face level. In fact recently they were shown to be the two big crime bosses of Gotham, but then, I haven't been keeping up since.

You have A LOT of strategic options for addressing groups in Witcher 2. It is just that running into gung ho with no buffs is not one of them. I will agree that the game does a crappy job of explaining things to you, though. It is old school in that regard.

Oh and Jeff, Igni (the fire spell) is probably the least effective spell in the game, at least until it is leveled up. The others are far better.

Don't forget the very basic rolling in, attacking, and rolling out. Do that until you pick off the weak enemies(which in Jeff's case would leave 2 slow enemies). Jeff and Ryan are both the kind of guys who have little interest in learning how to play a game. The idea that a game wouldn't show them how to play in addition to not being obvious is downright blasphemous.

EDIT: I wonder if they think The Witcher series are videogame books...

Funny enough, there is some pay-off for Vinny, especially in Witcher 2. Chapter 3 is basically a convergence of the main plot points of the Witcher universe(though it is all built up in-game through the two games).

Ryan: I really don't think you'll be getting much out of...
Vinny: I bought the Witcher books.....
......
*Dead Silence*

I compleltly died with laughter after that part for some reason. Haha.

Between the demo and Brad's impressions of Guerrilla, I'm really having a bad feeling about Armageddon. Just the fact that he enjoys Guerrilla so much, but it could easily be me jumping to conclusions.

Yeah, I want Armageddon to be a refined Guerilla but Brad's reaction suggests they aren't that similar at all. Skipping for Infamous 2.

Jeff is usually icily cool on games. I remember the way he talked laconically about Arkham only to argue for it to be GOTY. So when Jeff can barely contain his excitement about Infinite, that makes me think that game will be fucking fantastic.
