I think I'm almost ready to insert myself back into Chrono Trigger.

Unfortunately I think I'm in a pretty tough spot to reacquaint myself with the game. Too much choice, too many options!

Saw that posted by Ryan on Twitter. Shit is embarrassing, at this point I don't even want to look at any comments about Giant Bomb either here on GAF or on GB itself.
 
I'm loving this. Their mistakes in the ER are becoming hilarious, the rage is hilarious, Ryan noticing the rage is hilarious. It's a circle of farcical joy.

You are stupid. If you hate it, stop watching. Comparing a video of dudes playing games to rape is awful and you should feel embarrassed for doing so. Continuing to watch for the sole purpose of whining and complaining makes you look like a fool.

I agree, I have disliked how Ryan has handled himself in past situations on his Twitter. That still is nothing compared to someone equating watching the ER to rape.

Besides, people act as if no one ever made mistakes in the other ER's. "Hi my name is Vinny and I cast Bufu on things."

Perhaps you don't understand the emotional trauma being forcibly dished out by Ryan "Rapeman" Davis and Patrick "My nickname is also 'Rapeman' because I rape people" Klepek.

Given recent events, I'd probably still have to say 'yes'.

Beyond that I do think that stupid tweets should be mocked publically. And the tweet they responded to was plenty stupid.
 
Sad that one idiotic comment is going to drive the focus away from valid complaints, like skipping through text quickly and paying no attention to goals/mechanics in the game.
 
Some of you guys have a serious fucking problem. You should learn to re-read what you wrote, and turn on your brain before actually posting it, hopefully learn some sense (which may lead to you learning some respect) and stop acting like over-entitled cunts. You make these threads, and others, impossible to read,

I liked it. They weren't in a hurry to get to 'new content', and they actually explored and didn't rush through the dungeon they were in. Ryan also seems to be getting the hang of the combat, though he's relying way too much on combo attacks still, and is maybe using them sub-optimally (a few times I think his cyclone could have hit more enemies if it was centered at a different creature).

Also... isn't there a tutorial early on that teaches you how to use techs that hit multiple enemies? Like lining up enemies for the 'slash' attack? Edit: maybe I should buy CT off PSN afterall to refresh my memory.
 
I love that everyone's still focused on the negative despite part 5 being way better. People need to take a step away from this thread and breathe.
 
Between the weird hatred towards the ER (I mean, sure, there are legit complaints, but fuckin' rape?) and the vitriol towards Alex earlier in the week, GB threads have become the absolute worst.

Agreed. Also, it's possible to voice complaints while still enjoying enough of something to keep watching.

It's not quite the same thing, but people saying "calm down stop taking this so seriously" are either trying way too hard to look cool or seriously over-estimating how much effort and care it takes to post some negative shit on an internet forum. Whether I agree with it or not (somewhere in the middle), it's not an indication that somebody is legit upset, raging about the endurance run all day like crazy.

And so a single dumb poster who nobody's ever seen in a GB thread before becomes every single GAF user ever.

lol, I was thinking that too. It almost seems like an intentional scapegoat too avoid the legit complaints with the ED. That seems a bit crazy to consider, though.

Yeah, that's the real bummer. The GB regulars and fans are being overshadowed by a single jerk. I'm sure that the GB duders read the good comments too, but having only the stupid stuff brought to people's attention is a shame.

good to see Giantbomb is continuing its tradition of getting the worst possible interns.

Also I am enjoying this ER. never played CT so I have no nostalgia for it. No Vinny and Jeff is still disappointing but at least its regular GB content. they have really been in need of some form of daily video thing.
