this is incredible. I have 0 skills with photoshop and that stuff and I got a gif made from my skydiving vids in about 5 mins before work.

6Mb though.... well too bad, we live in the future.

was actually trying to seperate them and ended up with one somehow...

This is marvelous.

Sunhi still takes the cake (always), but for plebs like us looking for a reaction.gif it should suffice!

Just so.

Nothing can top the beauty of handcrafted gifs like the Sunhi ones!

Still, I hope the tool get's some good use! It is not a thing of beauty, but it get's the job done quick and dirty.

I hope GAF shows some constraint with it's new found power. Gifs work best when they nail a response or reaction. Of course there is always the GIF heavy threads which just let the flood gates open (any Jennifer Lawrence thread).

Hopefully some Gif masters are lurking here. I'm a total gif noob and I love how easy Gifcam makes it but I'm not happy with the results, it always comes out feeling slow or choppy. Resorting to the frame feature helps things but it's not quite there.

This is a 9 frame loop of Miyako gorging her fat face with rice

Looks nice in Firefox but the source video that it comes from goes MUCH faster.

So here I gave the delete even frames feature a shot so it looks like this

About as fast as the source but it doesn't feel as smooth. Is there anyway to make the nice first one go as fast as the second one? Do gifs have an official FPS of 15 or something? Maybe Firefox is just a bad implementation but I could've sworn I've seen super smooth fast paced gifs before. Am I gonna have to man up and use some real gif tools?

You can reduce the delay on each frame but you have to right-click each individual frame to do it. Since it's only a 9 frame animation you can try it, but you'd need a real gif tool (like gimp or jasc animation shop) to change the delay on all frames at once.

Obligatory test Gif. I only used Photoshop to resize.

It's definitely a very handy app. E3 won't be the same anymore, around here.

EDIT: Managed to make the filesize almost half, with it looking almost as good.

EDIT2: Wait. That's weird. When i upload and use it on Neogaf, the file size seems to go up by an extra 1MB. It's about 2.5 before uploading. Though when i download it, from this post, it's about 3.5 now. Strange.

I tried that but the delay is already at the default zero and won't let me go any lower, though I might try one of those to see if they let me do negative delay. Thanks though!

I'd be okay with a size limit restriction on these gifs.
File size exceeding 3MB? Banned.
Well I already go by a self set rule of 3MB so I'd be ok with this.

Problem is GIFCam is terrible for optimisation. Just opening and resaving a gif from this app in Photoshop managed to shave 2MB off just because I could set it to pattern dither and 128 colours.

Yeah this is becoming a bit ridiculous. We're gonna need some restrictions. Fucking plebians don't know how to control themselves.

Maybe it's old age kicking in early, but how the hell do you capture Youtube videos within the frame? And the editing window is a mess, you can't see the image in full. Does anyone know what the max resolution capture is?
