Glee Season 3 [OT] thread of pure love and acceptance

Yeah, I think this season has been much stronger than season 2. Obviously, there are still some issues, but I think they've been way more consistent than before.

They actually follow storylines through, (even if some of them are still ridiculous) and they musical performances have been generally much less jarring and random. (Despite a few bombs.)

The show is back on the right track IMO, and hopefully it can continue to sustain the regrowth.

And tonight's episode was pretty good IMO. It wrapped up some storylines that definitely needed to be addressed, and Tina actually got to sing and have scenes! I'm glad to have Sam back too, and I'm glad he didn't just go running back to Quinn. (Who they've FINALLY given some sense.)

Yet, why does Finn have to be involved in almost every plotline? It's time to reel that back in a big way.

Kind of lame ND gets the longest performance. Pretty obvious that they had it in the bag, so no real tension. Then again, sectionals doesn't matter.

Glad the Quinn subplot ended. It was getting terribly annoying.

Wasn't expecting fun. at the end, though. Cool. Love them.

Of course I'm serious. This season is killing every other so far.

I and many others love this show. If you don't I feel bad for you. I don't quote every bad post here and say "not sure if serious".

I wouldn't be posting in this thread if I didn't like this show. I just saw the similar posts from you after every episode this season so I thought maybe it was some sarcastic schtick. Its nice that you are so enthusiastic though...a lot of people seem like they are dropping the show from their queue.

It might still be early but Season 1 = best season for me. ::shrugs::

- Fucking finally, Awesome Quinn is back! Why the hell didn't you guys write her like that for the last season and a half?

- Other people getting to talk! And actually be important!

- Action Kung-Fu Blaine was pretty boss. Ditto to Sam being back.

- LOL at the huge lack of resolution to the Shelby/Puck stuff.

What does that mean? Should I stop liking it? People have said that every year.

Look, like what you like and hate what you hate, but don't presume to tell me that what I think is full of heart is full of crap. I know the net causes people to be assholes, but think before you post.

It's possible to be so enamored with something that you become blind to its failings. That's what too close to the crumb means.

The show has repeated its failings over and over again: Adults inserting themselves into musical numbers; characters showing no consistency in terms of their personality and actions, or becoming caricatures; and an abundance of absurdist situations.

And thanks for the platitudes. I like them better than your lame attempt at a cheap shot.

you left out the strong undercurrent bigotry that permeates through many episodes.

Post what you like but don't take my words and shit on them. I know what I posted and I stand by it. I don't mean "crap" I mean heart. If you don't awesome, don't project your negativity on me.

That's my only "problem" People projecting their views onto mine.

Agreed. He's made no sense as a character all season. It's like the writers have just given up on his character, and now he just floats around in everyone else's business being the conscience. He's like Jimminy Cricket without the charm that comes with being a cricket in a cute little suit...who can actually sing.

Overall, one the better episodes of the season, but still a far cry from the greatness that was Season 1. Troubletones were robbed; their set was much better, and I think it would have been much more interesting if they did win and then ND had to join them on their terms.

I was secretly hoping that neither team won so the writers could drop the whole "we have to win nationals!" as the main plot driving the show. Would have been interesting, at least.

Another plus to this episode? Almost NO Schuester!

Do we know if next week is the last episode of the Fall season?

I was hoping this as well. It being the last year for many of them, coupled with the fact that they never practice and have been focused on other things, could have been a really good source of drama this season. But of course, they'll win Regionals and Nationals and everything will come out rosy.

Do we know if next week is the last episode of the Fall season?

It is.

Just watched it and OMG THANK YOU for bringing back the best character on the show, Quinn Fabray. Every scene with her was perfect. I love Dianna Agron, I'd go straight for her.
Best episode this season. There's shirtless Sam, Idina Menzel (in what is probably her last appearance, sadly), Quinn being back, Santana having a speech, Kurt delivering a great one-liner (which is what he's good for) great performances, very little Schuester.
Ironic how Sue is one of my favourites but my favourite episodes have little to no Sue. She has been a non-factor this whole season though.

Also I found it funny that Summer girl from the Troubletones seemingly joined New Directions, did Schuester reject her already.

EDIT: just saw this:

Hehe.

That back-and-forth between Kurt and Sebastian was fantastic.

Also, I agree with the above. I lost it when Kurt came out wearing his carpet-shawl.

you do realise you're in the glee thread, right?

Yup, sure do. Been watching since the show came on. Other than the last season, it's pretty good.

Plus you know, having Dianna Agron, Lea Michele and Jayma Mays on one show isn't exactly a bad thing visually.

the only terrible part was the end with the schu just jumping out after the last song all smiling because they won sectionals. creepy smile is creepy.

I haven't seen an episode since they've left for the break this season but they're still all sitting on my TiVo. I think it's time I start getting rid of my TV backlog.

That was a good performance...but it lacked the chemistry and tension from "Baby It's Cold Outside" last year...
might be because, if the many rumors are true, Chris Colfer has come to really despise Darren Criss since then...
