what an awkward transition.

I actually prefer the Christmas Special angle. It was unique and fun.

This is exactly what they did last year.

Oh gag...can they please bring back "OH NO I'M A SENIOR AND DON'T KNOW WHAT I'M GOING TO DO WITH THE REST OF MY LIFE!!!" Finn and get rid of this corny, Jimminy Cricket Finn?

I liked the actual black and white Christmas special ("I think these are the end days.") but the episode itself was meh. I liked Sam & Rory's friendship and that Quinn is still sane, but everything else felt very season 2. (aka Character development totally being thrown out the window.)

I'll give it a pass though, because holiday schlock affects almost every show.

Funny how my favorite episode of the season happens to be the one furthest removed from the standing plot...

Anyway, a rare great episode from Glee. I think because Christmas Specials don't have to make sense Ryan Murphy's complete inability to write sensibly was actually rewarded.

My only gripe: I wish they had the balls to have the black and white Christmas special aspect run for the entire episode. That whole segment was expertly choreographed, and cleverly written and acted. It was total fun. Everything else around it was boring and cliche. Ryan, we all know what the Holiday season should "really" be about...

That was a good performance...but it lacked the chemistry and tension from "Baby It's Cold Outside" last year...
might be because, if the many rumors are true, Chris Colfer has come to really despise Darren Criss since then...
I had no idea Chris hated Darren, where did you see/read this?

They really went whole hog with that special, didn't they? Makes me think they should of sped through the exposition about hosting the show before the title card, and just ran with the special for the next 55 minutes. I think that would have been cool.

I liked the first 2/3 of the songs, and the first half of Artie's Christmas Special. Surprisingly fun.

I'm curious too.

I think it was Gawker or something that I read those rumors on awhile back. Nothing too credible, but it would explain their complete lack of chemistry this season, as opposed to when Blaine was first introduced.

There was also something about Blaine getting so much spotlight over the rest of the cast because he's boinking Ryan Murphy and the whole set knows...but who'd believe that...right?

What what whaaaaaat? So many of my crazy fantasies have just moved ever so slightly to a reality. I almost hope that's absolutely true.

sounds better than the actual show

Troubletones' performances have been better than most anything ND has done. I don't even really watch the show anymore. I just treat it like it wants to be treated, as a vehicle for occasionally good song covers and mashups for iTunes.

It's nice to see Sue not bitching. Artie looks so adorable this ep <3. I wasn't expecting Helen Mirren to be Becky's voice-over.

As if Schu couldn't be any more of a creep, he goes and asks a student to be his best man. Creep as fuck or most creepy?

I don't care for the relationship but if this mean getting rid of Shane, then ok. The actor is so bad and at least Samcedes is a better storyline for her than the Tots.

Was I hallucinating? Was there really no Darren?

There was tons of Darren. He was in the background in that one number. And in the background in that other number. ETA: Oh! And he looked in Kurt's eyes during the Rachael solo.
