After just playing the demo there now it seems to have a lot of bonus videos such as a live action God Of War trailer and some History Channel Vikings program promotion. I didn't really pay much attention tbh but I can go back into the demo if anyone wants to know what's specifically in it. Comes with an intro by the game director as well.

Had a good time with the demo itself. Whilst something like Metal Gear Rising will give me the combat depth in an action game I crave I always love the over the top, big scale action
in the God Of War games. Kratos seems as angry as usual anyway

Eh the character model is fantastic but the rest of the shot really shows the age of the hardware.


If you were to put a censor bar over Kratos in that shot there would be absolutely nothing impressive or near CGI quality about the shot at all.

I do realize that there are areas in the trailer that look better, but I cant help but wish they saved this for PS4. It could have been so much more.

I haven't watched this trailer but I caved in and am downloading the demo as I type this. I've been trying to stay away from much media for this game. I do love me some God Of War though. GOW3 was my first platinum.

The lip-synching in this game is second to none also. But i don't know if it will be able to top 2's story, i hope it does.

I think the effects on the blades are because they aren't fully upgraded.

I may be wrong about this, but the other demo it had the usual orange color.

In the final game the blades have 4 different atributes:

Fire
Ice
Thunder
Soul

I think those were lol, so the color and the effects on the blades will vary.

Yeah, the frame rate is about half.

About half of the ideal 60? Or about half of GOW3's actual 40-45ish fps?

I'll just accept it if the framerate is basically 30 in this game. But if it's lower than that, I will be critical of that decision.

Nice touch how the tattoo is much darker in Ascension, showing how it's faded a bit by the time 3 comes about.
