No it is not, this is objectively wrong

I'm not done with the game so I wouldn't be able to participate in my own threadDo it
I love how Alfheim looks in this one personally, got Gears 3 Shattered Paradise vibes from it. Compared to the first they got rid of those low-res cubemaps and replaced them with actual reflections, all those nasty low poly organic things are gone to make the architecture truly shine, and every asset casts shadows this time. It looks stunning imo. But if others look even better I'm all for it.
Dude! It's not even the area i mentioned lmao.Guys easy on the guy, he's clearly not well. Learn from Kratos and show some empathy.
Complaining about "Sony wokeism" while playing a game like this in 2022, because Kratos won't devour his son when hungry.
He was more caring (and super cheesy) with Pandora in GoWIII.

Oh now I get what you meant!
Thought you were referring to the temple, was definitely not expecting it to open so damn much all of a sudden. Felt like I was playing a PS2 era open world, in a very good way.
Game is fucking amazing. That fight inside the behemoth skeleton took me half an hour.
Who wants to believe I rly, forgive me!Don’t project your inability to understand the story on me, kiddo.
Yeah level design was immaculate.Dude! It's not even the area i mentioned lmao.
This new area is so well done and full of contents. It's even have more things to do than main area!
And the level design is almost like souls game. Fuck at some point i thought i was playing demon souls.
Nah.. all those comparisons with Witcher 3 side quests didn't help at all to me. These are obviously more fun to play and much better designed from a gameplay perspective, but unless huge surprises later on, that's it.Best side quest ever!
Who wants to believe I rly, forgive me!
They’d been taken wrong by such a tool! Silly me!!
This and Horiozon FB looks better than most of the games available right now and that’s crazy because they are both PS4 games.
Can’t wait to see what they do with actual native PS5 games going forward.
I'm there right now - it really, really sucks. It's like listening to an album that you love, but then a bad song comes and you just want to skip to the next track. But you can't!I really was enjoying the game up till ironwood. The whole process was extremely boring and feels as if it was written by someone else. Finally got out of there and back to the normal game
Nice to see a Dreams inspired one in there.Found the the ghost of tsushima poem book. These books are so cool
The story does an amazing job of building up what will happen in the final act but i think the ending was a little underwhelming, mainly because it was clear they desperately wanted to set up spin off games or DLC and I think that was a major factor into how the story concluded.About 20 hours in, and I have to say that something feels... missing. The story hasn't hooked me like 2018 did, and everything feels so recycled from before. Returning to the same realms is a huge buzzkill, and a lot of the writing comes off as cheap compared to before. And that pacing! The pacing is all over the place this time around, and I dare to say is downright awful in some parts.
It's not a bad game by any means, but it pales in every single way to the original (thus far). The story needed a more iterations before it was ready for production.

No offence but that is literally what a story driven action adventure is! I'm also about 10 hours in and not feeling the same so I think you might just be tired of this type of gameplay or not as interested in the story in comparison to the first part maybe?I am about 10 hours in and feeling the same as you. It is becoming such a chore like, walking, battle some enemies, talk, repeat.. man.
If you think the first 3 hours is good, you're in for a treat because it gets even better!3 hours in and I’m hooked. This will probably be the only game I’ll feel like playing for a bit. I’ve had a thirst for a good adventure game lately so this came at a good time. If you loved the first GOW then you should feel the same about Ragnarok.
The first part (2018) is such a blast for me. Ragnarok it is just not, it is like all over the place. I am not hooked yet.No offence but that is literally what a story driven action adventure is! Fair enough. I'm aways very forgiving about that, unless it's really bad, I'm not as sensitive to it.. It's like the Last of Us Part 2, that had some very bad pacing with the story and at times all over the place and it was still ok for me. As long as the gameplay is good and fun, I'm interested in the story and the production quality is high, I'm good. The first part (2018) is such a blast for me. Ragnarok it is just not, it is like all over the place. I am not hooked yet.
Haha nice one. Aaron is my green rat hero. Without him Xbox would be doomed. Some would say my connection to these characters is as strong as yours is to Aaron Greenberg
Alright break it up guys, break it up. Go to your corners. Nothing below the belt allowed. Some would say my connection to these characters is as strong as yours is to Aaron Greenberg
she barely worked on the game dude....
Yes blame all the dialogue on a person who joined the studio about 2 years into development. Grow up.
Which part we talking here? (Add spoilers ofc) aha I think I know though.Omg omg. They didn’t just do that. This is amazing.
Goty.
I think about halfway.Someone tell me without spoiling how far I’m into the story? Use spoiler tags pls.
I’m at the part where I just fought Freya dressed up as a Valkyrie & we’re going to Vanaheim to break the spell that Odin cast on her, binding her to Midgard. I did a manual save & it says I’m 13h 17m in, heard the story was around 20-25 hours or so, I’m playing on Balanced difficulty.
Trust me. You dont want this spoiled but if you already know then you know lol. Super cool.Which part we talking here? (Add spoilers ofc) aha I think I know though.
If you are using good quality headphones then no. Sounds much better with headphones on. Maybe give it a try and see? I tried headphones on and off and headphones captured so much more.Should I turn on 3d audio for this game
Flutta is typically good people. He’s just having a bad week lol.Yes blame all the dialogue on a person who joined the studio about 2 years into development. Grow up.
There’s a metric tonne of QOL everyone should take a glance at in the settings which are easy to overlook including the use of the touch pad, hiding the HUD, auto pick up, quick 180 turn, auto mini games, auto squeeze through cracks, auto vaulting, quick hold interactions, ffs. Seriously take a look
I seriously dont understand the "pacing" complaints.
The pacing is near pitch perfect. It doesn't drag on too long of doing anything. It constantly has a loop of: Discovery/Story --> Action/Puzzle --> Loot
Even the "walk n talk" moments don't last anywhere near as egregiously long as something in ND games, they make sure to add combat and loot throughout those sections.
