Overdue.
Jason is such a noob, of course it's gonna cost millions $ to get those port. You are asking Rockstar to put some their hands on this port that were supposed to be in the making of GTA6 that will bring them some billions. Porting games isn't done with one click.

I like how he's trying to make it about himself. He needs to fuck off into the sunset. "look at me, I reported this shit last year" *punch*

The comment was regarding potential acquisitions not seeing cloud gaming as a threat.
Google tried to buy Bethesda and Amazon bought Double Helix who made Killer Instinct. They don't want Google or Amazon to buy the studios that Microsoft could.
Phil always said that streaming is just a convenience that will never replace local hardware.
No it was about Cloud, not about Double Helix or whatever 😆

Keep doing damage control for your hero. He will need it to explain to Satya why Google is the real threat 🤣

The business model never made sense. Like people were seriously expected to buy full price games that they would only be able to stream? The only way Stadia had a chance of being successful was if it was a service similar to Game Pass.

Nintendo does it on Switch (or maybe it's the 3rd parties themselves that do it). And yeah, I don't get it there either.

This is lame. I got borderlands 3 for 99 cents, and I will pop in and play a little bit of destiny 2 went away from the house using stadia. Service worked well 99% of the time. Yet, I am not surprised.

Cause it's easier to compete with a doa brand(stadia) and irrelevant one(luna) and now even easier for philippe.

Stop shifting the goal post, Phil said this literally in the context of cloud, and definitely not acquisitions.

Here's the direct section taken from The Verge...

"Microsoft’s head of gaming and Xbox, Phil Spencer, has revealed that the company sees Amazon and Google as its main competition for the future. Speaking in an interview with newly launched technology publication Protocol, Spencer dismisses Sony and Nintendo’s ability to create a cloud infrastructure that will challenge Microsoft, Google, or Amazon.

“When you talk about Nintendo and Sony, we have a ton of respect for them, but we see Amazon and Google as the main competitors going forward,” says Spencer. “That’s not to disrespect Nintendo and Sony, but the traditional gaming companies are somewhat out of position. I guess they could try to re-create Azure, but we’ve invested tens of billions of dollars in cloud over the years.”

But it just arrived in India!

Just the trademark I think.

I think Mexico was the only official expansion they had announced. Maybe they weren't getting much of a response from efforts there. Weird they would be talking up the Mexico thing in June and shutting down in September. LOL

No, Phil got a blank cheque and spent 80 billions because Amazon bought Double Helix in 2014 🤡

There's gonna be a lot of moving goal posts over those comments. I would also expect at least one or two countries regulatory reviews will take note of the reduced competition in the industry now that Stadia is dead.

Really great that they are refunding all the software and hardware, actually keeps some faith in the company itself.

I dont really understand the intense hate, I tried it a few times and it wasn't really for me as I had most of the games elsewhere.
Google didn't support it at all, they needed exclusive aaa games and an actual budget to advertise it. Even when they launched the new Google tv, they didn't even have stadia working on it when it came out. To say nothing of how network issues could affect things.

RIP stadia.

Shame, it was technically sound. Glad they are giving people refunds, I hope they release a firmware update for the controllers to open up the Bluetooth connectivity.

Don't really think they were really in it to win it to begin with. It's so hard to become an established platform in this industry. Their main competitor (Microsoft) was leagues ahead of them in terms of investment, they probably didn't feel it was worth sinking billions over the next decade to catch up.

It is very gracious of them to buy back the hardware and the provide refunds for the games, didn't expect that.
I ended up loosing nothing (I own the games multiple other places...who doesn't) and I got some decent Chromecast hardware for free!
