The same will probably happen with EGS once Fortnite declines, turns out you need do something more than just moneyhatting devs over and over to build a platform.
I was going to buy it at launch but my data caps made it non-viable. I switched ISPs once a competitor came to market, no data caps but by that time, Stadia was already on the slow march to death.Lol i nearly bought the stadia
i still want that sushi controller
The funny thing is, it's actually a solid controller.i still want that sushi controller
looking for that controller NGLI was going to buy it at launch but my data caps made it non-viable. I switched ISPs once a competitor came to market, no data caps but by that time, Stadia was already on the slow march to death.
So if I understand correctly they will refund all money spent on games? That'd be the right thing to do.
Fat Frog on suicide watch. Please remember there are reasons to live such as XCloud, GFN and PSNow.
It would be good if it wasn’t impossible to open, if the battery dies it’s gone. The funny thing is, it's actually a solid controller.
On par with 8bitdo products.
What does "get" mean in this context? Were they "free" on Stadia Pro?
That's not a gaming service. And did it cost them as much? Not sure. But yes, it was definitely one of their biggest failures.
I thought in general.Google+ had gaming?
If we're talking that level, we will probably need to throw Madoff into the mix. $65 billion there.I thought in general.
Fat Frog comes back when?
PSNow is also dead.
(But was replaced with something better.)
Yeah we warn them. Many many many times.Where's your God now streaming stans?
Because again it's not just about money, it's also about knowledge and passion. Those joke companies that think they can just come into the industry like that like Netflix and make their place, lmao rofl, i mean you're welcome if you have something truthful and worthy to bring in the gaming land, but if you're just here just to be there for money sucking then my message is GTFO, and for Stadia it's nice good riddance imo.lol Google is such a failure. Imagine having unlimited funds and still unable to make a single game let alone console.
they got fuck all tho it's gone and they played the shitty versionThey are refunding all the games and addons bought since launch?! Oh wow
Luckily, Google has some deep pockets
Lots of people played some games for free then. They got the last laugh.
I think that quote is still valid, Google failed but there was reason for MS to be scared if it had not.Google is closing shops after wasting billions of dollars.
Facebook is losing $10 billions yearly on their (VR) gaming endeavor.
Amazon hasn't had a major hit despite multiple acquisitions and massive investments in gaming.
Microsoft, after being in the industry for more than 20 years, had to spend over $75 billion just to remain competitive.
So can't we all agree that only Sony and Nintendo know what the heck they are doing?
P.S. This comment from Phill Spencer sounds even funnier today...
"When you talk about Nintendo and Sony, we have a ton of respect for them, but we see Amazon and Google as the main competitors going forward."
I still have the white one unused here (just opened to check it)Lol i nearly bought the stadia
i still want that sushi controller
look how fucking sexy
Google's approach of the market was backwards..
Yes, get the tech ready, but also have the games. Not just multiplatform titles, but things made from the ground up for your technology. It has to have that day one..
Yep, Onlive is dead, PS Now is dead, Stadia is dead but Google and Amazon are the real competitors in the gaming industry, not Playstation or NintendoAnd those were who Phil considered to be their real competitors, right?
It WAS until Steam Deck came out. Don’t get me wrong home brew is fun to tinker with but when you can just download emulators and they work without hacking on Steamdeck it’s a superior experience…only thing holding Steam Deck back is the lack of dock availability to easily play on TV without streaming or a long hdmi cord at the moment.Despite its flaws, Wii U is pretty awesome as a homebrew machine and a Xenoblade X machine. I can't think of one redeeming quality about stadia.
Only seems to apply to hardware and game sales from what I am reading from Phil Harrison's postWonder if I'll get refunded for the couple of months I was subscribed to Pro.
We will be refunding all Stadia hardware purchases made through the Google Store, and all game and add-on content purchases made through the Stadia store.
But Cloud is the future they said?
