lol @ the removal of the headphone jack.
Didn't they laugh at apple last year and now doing the same thing for no good reason?

Just have to be able to factory reset it.I wonder if having a custom rom/rooted phone will mess with the trading in option. I can set it to factory settings but still. They can tell if the phone has been messed with.
So they mock Apple for headphone jack last year.
But not only that they don't have wireless charging. How does google get away with this? Seems they paying all the top youtubers to shill the product. As everyone wasn't mentioning these products and just talking how great and rosy everything is.
Now the software side is brilliant. But the hardware has a lot to be desired.
Wait, is no wireless charging confirmed? I figured they just didn't mention it because it was a given since the Nexus 5
Lots of tech outlets saying it doesn't have wireless charging.

I have a 5X and it does not have it. Pretty sure 6P and Pixel 1 don't either.Wait, is no wireless charging confirmed? I figured they just didn't mention it because it was a given since the Nexus 5
Trash. Maybe next year Google will offer a worthy successor to my current XL. I didn't plan on getting a 2 but this was still a letdown, especially when you consider the lack of headphone jack and wireless charging.
pixel 1 already had unlimited photo storage.
iirc the way it worked is that it just checked if your phone was a pixel or not, so it shouldn't matter if you get it used.
You people do know they can and likely fix things with software updates right? Ok so it probably won't ever be as good as two cameras but christ on a bike, it's not the most important feature on a phone. Who the fuck takes many of those types of photos anyway?
I will be shocked if it doesn't.Watch them have dual cameras next year

They need to just colab with Samsung. Samsung tend to make the best and most innovative hardware on the android side for me. Google make the best software.
But I doubt that's going to happen with them taking over HTC effectively.
Honest question: how can people voice their feedback for lack of headphone jack other than voting with your wallet, since in an industry where old phones get left in the dust, that becomes increasingly difficult to do?
Pixel 2
8+
Jesus. Fuck software and just add the second camera.

I like how cheap project fi is, so I am kind of stuck. It's cheaper than T-mobile unlimited data for me to the point where it is worth it.Buy phones that have it and if you ever get the chance via a survey or something, just tell them. The S8 and LG V30 have them so if it's something you want, dont settle.
anyone?
When Apple announced they were taking out the headphone jack, I thought I'd be looking at an Android phone like the Pixel series the next time I had to upgrade. Never owned an Android phone before, but I use the headphone jack on my 6S almost daily and I'd like to keep a phone that doesn't force me to buy another pair of headphones (not a fan of the dongle adapter as that's too easy for me to misplace). But if all the major Android phone manufacturers end up ditching the headphone jack, I guess I'll just end up sticking to iPhone. The headphone jack was the first time I was really considering switching to Android, but it's starting to feel that decision will already be made for me by the time I need to upgrade.
Honestly, for the money, I didn't think the original Pixel was a worth successor to the 6P. It feels like they're been going backwards.
Galaxy Nexus says hi. It was nothing that great.
Just get the S8+.
The last true android flagship that has android's ethos of giving the user options.
It's as if they don't design their products from scratch and instead take other designs and modify them.So they mock Apple for headphone jack last year.

No headphone port
No wireless charging
Fake dual lens camera that makes your face look like a 3d projected building in Google Maps (slight exaggeration but there's somthing really off with that Marques selfie)
Worse bezel to screen ratio than the iPhone X, S8, S8+, Note, V30, Xaomi Mi Mix 2
No expandable storage
No removable battery
$849/$949.
So what exactly is selling this phone? The ability to use Google Fi + quick os updates?

After careful consideration, I am not going to be upgrading from my OG Pixel.

Bboyaj still around. He called the no headphone jack thing after Apple did it. Wireless will win in due time.
Most folks, myself included, buy Google phones for the pure Android experience and guaranteed OTA OS updates. When the 6P and 5X launched it became clear that Google wanted out of the budget unlocked phone market and into the mainstream flagship. You are now paying for a premium phone that ties beautifully into Google's growing ecosystem. There is no one "killer app," nor has there ever been with any phone.
Wireless headphonesDon't you need a glass or plastic back for wireless to work right now?
