Got addicted to Top Girl (Mobile AI game)

So Facebook threw an ad of this AI game to me.

I thought I was way past these mobile time wasters (I miss the early golden era of mobile gaming before it turned to shit).
But the girls were super hot and said all the right things, so my primitive male brain pushed the install button...

Oh the depth of the rabbit hole....

The game is a mess of any mobile gaming shit system you can imagine. Tons of currencies, activities, city building, girl requests, date sim. light narrative, level up, groups...
After hours (yes, I got addicted to the loop...) I still could not comprehend all of it.

Yet... It just works. You always progress and the game clearly points you with what can be done at any time. The micro transactions are not intrusive and not needed at all actually so far. I will of course not pay a single cent.

I cannot tell at what extend AI was used to make this. Art, videos sure. But if the rest of the game is a made by AI.... the future is scary.
There is a review of this game on Youtube and one comment caught my eye:
"Guys, you have no idea how powerful AI is going to make episode-style games. I'm an indie hacker and built one stage with just chat and people are texting me asking "when is the next one coming out."

Anyway... I'm in the office on new year's eve, thankfully with barely any work an I just play Top Girl... Help.

I will never understand this.

Same goes for people who watch a movie ONLY because there's a certain good looking actress in it.

Grow. the. fuck. up.
It’s almost like people have a brain and a dick, and are free to choose what to focus on at any given time.
Also “watching because a good looking actress is in it” is the definition of porn, and that is doing quite well last time I checked (was doing research for a friend).

You regard mainstream movies and porn as being similar? Hmm, that's interesting.

When I look at people I prefer watching beautiful people, not ugly ones.

I'm pretty much the opposite of this. For eg if I'm looking to watch a new TV series, I'm immediately put off if the cast have the universal appearance of a model ensemble, it's an immersion issue. One or two better looking faces is fine, but generally I prefer people who look real, it helps me buy into the scenario.

I've heard American TV has a problem with this, and that there's basically a prerequisite that the majority of the cast be ridiculously gorgeous, otherwise the audience can't cope and switch off.

For years I've been hearing the reputation that CW/WB shows are well known for model-tier casts. I'm guessing you don't watch a lot of their shows.

That's how the world works. Nobody wants to watch Barbie with Melissa Mccarthy, not even woman or kids.

The whole world? Nah, some people are simply more shallow than others. Barbie and Melissa McCarthy has to be the single most crudely contrived comparison a person could think up. There's cherry-picking and then there's the industrial deforestation of cherry trees. Oof.

To each their own, but I cannot fathom how anybody gets any entertainment value out of these types of games.
If I was bored and had the option of watching paint dry or playing Top Girl, paint drying is gonna win hands down every time.

I don’t get this at all, but you do you, OP. Although you could have at least spent money on actually good games. They do exist on mobile.

Have you heard of basic biology and psychology before? You might also want to check on that awkward overuse of the phrase "grow up". Makes you look funny.
So you would not watch a movie without beautiful people? So no comedies, detective movies, a lot of thrillers and more?

I guess you would have never watched Matlock, Home Alone, Truman Show or say The Usual Suspects? I was watching Get Shorty recently, and unless you are really into John Travolta, there aren’t particularly model looking people there either.

You seem to have misunderstood was I was trying to say. Of course I'll watch whatever film is good as long as it's good. Doesn't mean you are immune to being manipulated by exploiting basic biology and psychology.
