Ordered a used GTX 460 off of an Amazon seller off of Amazon to SLI with my current 460.

But instead of the 256 bit, 1GB card that was advertised, I received a 192 bit, 768MB card that can't SLI with mine.

Here's the seller's profile.

I filed a claim with Amazon and it said I should hear back from the seller in three days.

What happens now? Am I gonna have to send the card back? Is Amazon gonna reimburse me? Or am I screwed?

You're certainly not screwed, well I'd hope not. Amazon are usually pretty good with customer service, even if you have purchased from a 3rd party seller.

But like eBay, they have a process map which is followed before they kind of step in and intervene.

Why are you asking "What now?" when they haven't even replied. Of course send it back and either exchange or get a refund, he sold you an incorrect item.

I wouldn't say you got screwed until you actually hear back from the seller. Maybe he'll end up giving you 1 million dollars for the mess up, you never know.

Amazon protects the buyer in most instances. Maybe the seller legit messed up and put the wrong card in, either way, I'm sure you'll be fine. If you do send it back take a few pictures of your packing and get delivery confirmation.

Amazon, Ebay, Paypal, etc will usually side with the buyer. Just keep at it and you should be ok in the end.

happend to my brother with a Sony Laptop. A seller (tigerdirect I think) listed a fully specced out laptop for the price of the bare bones model and of course they sent him the barebones model.

Just report it to amazon, item not as described, and wait for them to contact seller and work out a refund. Amazon will pull the listing and work with you.

You'll be fine. Work with the seller first; they may have messed up on accident. If worst comes to worst, file an A-to-Z claim, which basically means you win. Don't do this unless the seller has offered a chance to right himself first though. If the seller is non-compliant, an A-to-Z claim means he HAS to offer you a full refund and you're technically not under any obligation to return the item to him (although I would). A seller technically has the right to charge you for shipping in some situations, but I don't think Amazon actually enforces this especially if you complain loud enough. Buyers should have no worries about buying anything from Amazon no matter which seller they use on there.

Seller will probably correct it, and if not Amazon will likely credit you for the purchase. They may even let you keep the card.

Sent the package back two weeks ago and haven't gotten any notification from Amazon or the seller about my refund. Does it usually take this long?

why don't you contact the seller or amazon since they're the people you're dealing with and will be able to give you an answer...
