6 hours doesn't sound right.

The shill up guy said that you have to grind for the campaign because some mission are on a higher level etc., If it is 6 hours with grind, does the game has like 4 missions total?:lollipop_grinning_sweat:

Something smell fishy, and it's not batgirl pussy...

I saw someone posting that one streamer beat it i 6 hours just maining story missions so I dunno 🤷🏼‍♂️

We got idiots who say wow this game is amazing from watching CGI movies

We got idiots saying this games shit and they haven't even played it.

Then we got idiots defending both.

IQ in the gamer scene has really dropped hasn't it. No doubt from years of manipulation from marketing experts.

Yeah. The game is too big to be finished in 6 hours.
I really hope this doesn't chug on a PC in 1080p. Surely not.

I'm playing it now, it's not great. Honestly it's not so much the gameplay as the shit performance that really hurts, makes everything feel sluggish and unfun.

6PM for the PC release with no preload, and yes I have a key, and yes I could have spent my money better elsewhere and could still cancel. But a long time friend loves Batman (I know he's dead in this) and literally no one wants to play it with him, so I'm hardly going to leave him hanging in a coop game when we played together for over a decade (dude just gifted me elden ring few weeks back, I owe him)

They promised preload 2 days before launch, but nope so it's going to be later tonight before I can form an opinion, but so far it's not great it's hard to feel positive on PC about broken promises and a delayed mid evening launch, would rather be replaying Persona 5 :(

Another big release, another reason to not miss the fact I'm not currently gaming.I am seriously starting to wonder if I'm coming back at all this gen now.

What’s happened bro?
I'm 49 and have been gaming most of my life but since finishing my backlog on PS4 I've not gamed.I wasn't able to buy a next gen system until just recently anyway(I've still not bought one yet though) but in the last year having some distance from actually gaming I've come to really dislike a lot of stuff about modern gaming. This gen has been very uninspiring to me so far,I'm waiting for something to get me excited again and......well,I'm just waiting, lol.

Damn, you sound like me. I've just gone 42 but last t years has been really shit. I've wasted loads of money getting back into and leaving gaming again.

I decided in the end it wasn't me it's the new games. I try yo play mostly old games now and have limited my new games by 90%.

Like you though I'm still not totally grabbed by anything.

I think at our age we have see it all.

I just can't get past 30fps on ps5, but I'm a bit worried about the pc port as I don't have the recommended specs.

When you see how hard it is getting stable 60fps at high settings running on a 4090, I don't think I want to risk it.

I suppose buying on Steam and using their refund system is the way to go.

When the tech for this gen was announced it all sounded wonderful.....I thought we were going to get a real step up in game design now the tech was so advanced,it's not happened and it all just feels like last gen with faster loading and higher resolutions.

You dont need to taste a turd to know its a turd 🤷🏼‍♂️🤷🏼‍♂️🤷🏼‍♂️

This dumb argument "but have u played it"?? What does that matter. My opinion is subjective. The state of the game isnt subjective.

WB Montreal right ? keep them away from any DC Comic IP. watch Wonder woman and Justice league perform much better, i trust these studios behind these upcoming two games.

I accept that, but not off that loser grifter Ryu that hasn't even played it.
I hear you. If you check my post history I don't even post anything inflammatory like that, don't take sides in the corny console war stuff, and really dont say anything negative about...much of anything lol. But this game here...From the performance, to the bad combat, how obvious it is this was at one point a GaaS game they pivoted terribly from...It just feels bad. I hope people enjoy it, but the fans of DC Comics(Myself included) just deserve something a little bit better

1. Has anybody played yet on an oled, if so how bad is the judder.
2. can you turn off the hud completely, or at least have it dynamic? Or is it on all the time during gameplay.

IGN’s video review is what did it for me… Yikes. Yeah this is a pass for me. Sucks too, I really was hoping it was gonna turn out at least halfway decent. But nooope

Since Gotham didn’t turn out, my plan B for October is resub to GamePass and play P5 Royal. Sooo that’s what I’m doing now! Always heard the game was amazing, now I finally get my chance to play it!

"try it"

hmmmm sounds like the wording of an angsty teenager who wants to be angry on the internet over something. Did you play more than 10 min? Be honest
I got about two and a half hours in.

It's Friday, go outside and get some fresh air - trying your best at being a dick on the internet is unattractive. It's just a video game, you should relax 🤷🏽‍♂️

And bitch i'm 34 😂

i'm finding this's so effortless. elden ring's the only full price new game i gotten this year. nothing else's looked worth it to me...

The combat is not that similar.

You evade instead of counter, there is more emphasys on filling bars, abilities and cooldowns.

And you have 4 characters with different playstyles and skill trees.

Take that as you want.

Personally i never liked arkham combat except in the first game (mostly for the novelty of it) so the change in the combat are not a flaw to me, too bad everything else seems pretty meh.
I tried it last night and you are right....it's not similar. And it is worse lol. Ugh. The game part isn't great although the story does seem interesting.

Ofcourse its not similar to Arkham games. Not even speaking to quality, the gameplay loop is totally different. Dont need to play it to come to that conclusion after 30 years of gaming.

Some people rather keep their blinds on though ( TheGecko TheGecko )

Yeah, people who absolutely love batman universe should probably still play the game when it's heavily discounted\gamepass if the story is good.

I bet if you screened 100 or 1000 people the vast majority would think this game is the same devs as Arkham series. Doesn’t help Arkham gets brought up in every discussion for the game and reviews .

That all said I got the game on a whim thinking it would be hot shit to run even on my 3080. To my surprise I can do highest/high settings in 4K with dlss on quality mode to maintain high fps no issues. The city can be between 60-80, and indoor is 100-120.

I tried playing around to have ray tracing on but that’s just always sub 60fps and not worth it. Like the other 99% of games that have it. Most worthless tech ever for pc gaming lol.

They're responsible for Arkham Origins no? I'm just going by the Wiki but yea only 1 game in the series and not the greatest.

Oh wow, a little surprised by 69 meta score, as user reviews from people who purchased the game on the Xbox store are very positive (many complaints about 30fps though)

Wonder if the game had been well received by playstation users store reviews too (assuming the store has a review system?)

Horizon 2 got its hooks into me, otherwise I feel the same, super meh so far at this gen, hopefully it’s just the early spot in the phase

Bought it despite the reviews and I'm glad I did. Combat is super smooth. The animations are just as good as Arkham, but with better take downs and finishers. Graphics are not WORSE than Arkham. I think people are confusing it with art design, which yes was a lot better. I played Arkham on xbox one and it was the most shimmery, aliasing game I've ever seen. Never gave a crap about 60fps, so I'm not bothered by that. Haven't had any noticeable performance issues either. I would say if you're someone who is able to branch away from what the herd is saying, give it a try. Also keep in mind, you're not going to be playing it with a side by side comparison of Arkham or a frame-rate graph. Toss away the need for nostalgia and approach it for what it is and you might come away surprised. At minimum it's 7. a 4? Fuck outta here.

Played for a bit, finished the first night, the tutorial challenges and unlocked coop.
The art style is not as gritty/atmospheric as the arkham games, so I can see why some people think arkham knight "looks better", but that's going to be a subjective thing; however the models, textures and animations are all way better than arkham knight.

I'm actually impressed by how smooth the combat is, without that weird gliding from the arkham games. Using batgirl and her sideways flip dropkick is smoother than any combat animation in Arkham knight, her perfect dodge feels great too and beating the shit out of thugs with her "beatdown ability" is satisfying every time; the combat overall feels more "focused" without thugs running at you so you can triple counter them.

Playing on pc with 60 fps (FSR2), but there's definitely some hitches when it comes to traversal, nothing too crazy, but I'm also have it installed on an M2.
Had 2 weird CTDs, first one when starting the game, and second when entering the gcpd morgue, though it took 10 seconds to load it back up so not too bad.

Jumped into a few coop matches as well, and was kinda impressed by how fast it loads into a random world, multiplayer > quick match and 15 seconds later I'm helping someone else out; though most people seem to kick you out right now, guessing they don't realise the game sets join criteria to "public" by default.

Overall liking it so far, and going to unlock pirate batgirl as soon as I can

On Steam it has already a peak of 23,994 concurrent players. No wonder companies keep shoving crapware into gamers. Plenty of people are willing to buy crap.
And a user score of 54%, so maybe there will be many refunds.

I would fully expect a lot of refunds. I'm watching a YouTube video showing a 3060 ti with GPU utilization in the 50-60s percentile range. That's downright horrid!!!
