Eh, that's what A-Spec feels like for me. So I just started doing stock lap times online/in practice mode and then start tuning cars... Which is mostly what I did in GT3/GT4 anyway.

I don't think I have it in me for endurance races, and that's all I have left in A-Spec... I did the first one and was ready to shoot myself after 1 hour. :lol

This is how I feel. I am at 26 and I really don't have any intention of doing any endurance races. Just going to finish up A-Spec, except for the F1 Race (rather use that 4 mil to buy and tune real cars) and then just log on for seasonal updates.

Is the online even good? I never tried, but I don't see much chatter about it other than frustrating posts.

Everything except the Red Bull challenge (I'm simply not good enough to do it). All I have left are the aspec things.

Same. Just finished the Dream Cup (completely skipped the Formula GT... for now) and seeing that there's really only endurance races from now on, what's the fucking point? The only thing really keeping me going is getting an X1 but even now, there's no real benefit to that other than giving it to my B-spec guys to have fun with.

After watching the "full" end video GT mentions completing the game to become "Top Driver" or some shit. Other than the trophy, is there any other motivation for completing A-spec and B-spec?

To only have had the game for just on a month and a half and feel like this is pretty disappointing :/

Edit: And FWIW, I've completed the B license, most of A (mostly bronze, some silver) and the karting and Top Gear specials completely, rallying one mostly, that tour thing completely and some others. Barely touched the Loeb challenge or the Nurburgring/Mercedes one (and TBH that's about the only one that remains appealing).

BTW Currently doing some B-spec. Level 21 Cup? NASCAR. Restrictions: NASCAR (give or take, 50bhp difference between cars max). Level 22? European championship. Highest performing car: ~350bhp. Restrictions: Car from Europe. It makes no sense that in a more "difficult" B-spec cup that I can (and have :lol) entered a car that's around 600bhp higher than the competition.

PS. What was the quickest way of getting an X1? I remember that you could get one via the Specials or via B-spec... which B-spec level do you have to be to race for/get given one?

I rather have them actually know they could overtake instead of slowing down behind the A.I on a freaking straightaway and there is huge clearance on either side first before that.

I dont know whats up with that. When GT5p was released, did Sony still have an F1 license? Because you could use the F12007 in the events in that. Prologue was released shortly after Sony Liverpool's F1 game, I'm certain Sony still had the license.
With F2010 is in the wilds and Codemasters having the F1 license, maybe the restrictions are an agreement they had to make with ferrari to even include the F1 models.

There's a grind to finish the game, regardless of how many extra events they shove in the seasonal bit. Have you seen the endurance stuff?

I'm at level 26 A-spec and 23 B-spec and shit's starting to feel like a chore. Technically, I'm really only halfway through the game and all I have left are a few license tests (that offer nothing except a few credits, some XP and no doubt a poorly chosen "prize" car), a fuckload of endurance races and some semi-interesting special events... none of which offer any replayability once completed.

The driving model and amount of content is well worth applauding but the game they wrapped around it is below average. If that's "less important" to you then fine, but I think you'll find that people aren't hating just for the sake of doing so, there's valid reasoning behind it... it's an inconsistent package overall.

Oh i only said that because they said they stopped playing in a couple of days because of those problems, and took more pictures than played.. i mean cmon really? you dont need to finish all the a-spec events and crap to have the cars you want to drive, isnt that the point? drive and race with the cars you want?

GT's never had a good "career" mode and that didn't change. To me a-spec at first was only a means to and end to level up so i could buy the cars i wanted, but thankfully you dont even need to finish a-spec for that now, with seasonal events and special events you get more than enough xp.

GT5 is obviously at its best when playing against other players, i make that the focus of my experience and i love it \o/

After messing with this for an hour or two I finally figured out how to make GIFs and decided to try out an idea I had a long time ago.

Not too happy with it and it wasn't quite what I envisioned but oh well. Just need to practice.
