Why play when you can hear all about it?So you never play it? Got it
I play more gt sport than any racing game ever. I'm not going back to single player racing gamesGT Sport was released in 2017, so PD have had a good 4-5 years dev time on this one, so I’m not worried that it’ll be anything less than a great GT game. Even without a proper career, I have spent more hours on GT Sport than any other racer in the last 5 years.
We don't know if the 110GB size is for PS5. Looking at the other games released on both PS4 and natively on PS5, pretty likely 110GB is the PS4 one and the PS5 one is quite smaller.110 GB For the install of Gran turismo.
And Ps5 actually have 667.2 GB to store games.
What a great deal!!!!
Jim Ryan you idiot
Whats with the clown post here..absolutely ridiculous...https://www.aroged.com/2022/01/23/g...ystation-exclusive-ever-with-110gb-at-launch/
Largest PS5 exclusive launch title to date (capacity wise).
Polyphony Digital obviously loves cars and racing, but I've always wondered if game development has passed them by. If GT7 doesn't return Polyphony Digital towards the top of SIE, I think it might be time to put them out to pasture and maybe create a new team for Gran Turismo. I don't mean to be hyperbolic in saying that. SIE has evolved from the late 90s and early 2000s and that evolution has entirely happened without Japanese studios. I hope Polyphony Digital can make that jump, but nothing they've done in the last decade tells me that they can.
This game is going to tell us a lot about them as game developers and not just racing game developers. I had hoped for a 120hz mode, but it doesn't look like that is in the cards for this game, maybe down the road or GT8. I think a lot of these features that were discussed will end up in GT8, 120hz, VR e.t.c. But I'm more concerned with whether they make a competent game worth 70 dollars:
Aside from the technical aspect, it'll be interesting to see how they tackle some of the series other historic criticisms around sound, damage, and menus.
- Do they finally eliminate load times with the PS5s SSD
- With the game taking up 110GB is the game just loaded or did they not make great use of the Kraken compression. Will be interested to see the PS4 size compared to the PS5 size.
- This is probably the most ambitious Gran Turismo game ever released (and in my opinion maybe for the wrong reasons).
- You have a PS5 version, a PS4 Pro version, and a PS4 version.
- Can't wait to see what Digital Foundry says about the performance across these 3 models.
- There was talk of a GT7 Beta around 6 months ago, but I haven't heard any evidence that any Beta took place. To release a game this size without a beta just seems pretty daft. Obviously, there is time before release, but it's surprising to not have anything at this point and a competent developer should realize that. For such an ambitious game to not have beta tests is just asking for early trouble.
- The lack of even an early access release is worrisome.
I bet you do.I've got them all, dont worry![]()

M.2 slot to install any compatible open market drive without the need to pay Sony markup meaning you can jostle your content for free if you're tight or pay for the extra if you need it.
You idiot.
Months and months of low Kraken install sizes, and then Horizon and GT7 hit:

At least you two don't have to worry about size for the rest of the yearWhat's the opposite of the "Release the Kraken" meme ?
Bequeath the Kraken ?![]()
2tb GANG!!

It is 89GB on PS5.
That doesn't mean it's the game size, it needs space to unpack.110GB as the minimum space required for the Gran Turismo 7 installation
So this guy is missleading/spreading lies right?
The Twitter guy is posting the actual size in Sony servers. So this guy is missleading/spreading lies right?

Mine too. 2TB SN850 ftw.My PS5 is thanking me for its 2TB SSD upgrade
Day one patch can increase the size of the game if there is new content, modes, etc.Which guy ?
To be fair to OP, the 110 GB was mentioned on PS's website, and the size tweet your quoted post mentions "without day 1 patch". These days, we often get 10~20GB day 1 patches so it won't be surprising if the final install size on day 1 is 100GB+.

If it is most bug fix the size remain around the same.
There is no day 1 patch in Sony server yet.* Without the day 1 patch.
Either they didn't bother with Kraken since it's a cross-gen title and they just left everything as it is (for PS4), or the game is just that loaded with content. If neither of the two then yeah, it'll put them in a bad shade as a developer.
As for the 120Hz, Kaz talkeb about high framerate on PS5 in an interwiew some time ago, he even mentioned 240FPS but I think it's safe to say that one is off the radar, but 120FPS at lowered resolution should be doable.

And it's much bigger game. With higher quality assetsGT Sport is 115 GB so why is this a surprise?
Must be one of phils 4d chess moves. For comparison, Forza Horizon 5's Series install size is 103 GB.
I meant a first-party Nintendo game. They do some voodoo to their games to get insanely small file sizes compared to third-party Switch games.Cloud version™
You're the first one in.The Kraken gang arrived yet?![]()
Well, yes. I'm a gamer, thats why i'm hereI bet you do.
99% of the games released on PS5 are cross gen and a lot of them used kraken to reduce file sizes. Control, Guardians even Avengers all got substantial reductions in size.Either they didn't bother with Kraken since it's a cross-gen title and they just left everything as it is (for PS4), or the game is just that loaded with content. If neither of the two then yeah, it'll put them in a bad shade as a developer.

You are free to say what you want. Just don't get mad when people call on your bullshit.Well, yes. I'm a gamer, thats why i'm here![]()
Or am I not allowed to speak my mind on games i've bought/own. Or is it you feel an injustice against Gran turismo from my words?
Whats the rules here?![]()
Whats bullshit? The fact I own them, and have done since the 1st and gave an opinion, the presumption you think I dont own or play them or the fact you seem to have hurt feelings? You are free to say what you want. Just don't get mad when people call on your bullshit.

If it's the last two, dont worry. I'll still buy this one too
Remember, i'm a gamer, but i'll also add a massive hypocrite too (most gamers are..)
This is what you wrote. It's all bullshit. What's even stiff arse driving mechanics? Shit makes no sense.Heard that since 3. Still been the same old clinical circuits, stiff arse driving mechanics, hoover car sound effects and pompous menus
