Gran Turismo Sport - Interlagos Circuit trailer

Interesting! I'm at least very much looking forward to the demo! Will be my first time playing GT!
Also this:
With powerful AI-assisted systems, even the most novice driver can get the most out of driving some of the most sought-after cars in the world! The high-level driving aids can help with everything from steering, to throttle control, to braking. For the more seasoned drivers, fear not — all aids can be switched off, allowing you to race for real.

Online racing will feature a mix of assisted and unassisted racing, so there will be something for all levels when you take your race experience to the world.

The graphics even if without weather changes are just at such a next level of production quality, wasn't expecting the car light reflections in body's of other cars. Looks just mad.

No Deep Forest & Trial Mountain = no real Gran Turismo = no buy...
My favorite GT tracks of all time...They will come, of that I have no doubt...They could take their time and make it perfect...
You would be able to tell the difference between GTS and GT5/6 cars in game pretty easily, especially the interior and people would complain about the disparity.

Sure but race modifications on GT5/6 aren't making the GT car. The models are different, both interior and exterior, and the modelling physics would be different too, such as inertia.
Yes, they should really keep these out, in a few months or a year tops, GTS should have 300-400 cars easily.

Late to the thread, but umm

Where is the weather footage, Kaz?!

Also,

Bathurst, fuck yeah!
Money, can't wait to see weather and other tracks....

Let’s not forget that this is a full-priced game and the competition usually offers a wider variety of cars/tracks. I’m fine with the base content if more tracks and cars come as free update regularly (with a mix of paid DLC cars of course, they’re here to make money afterall). But if they make us pay for the extra content, then I wouldn’t be ok with that.
Yeah fair enough. I’m guessing it will be both., I guess I’m in the minority that feels doing the campaign and playing around with scapes will keep me occupied for a while until more new stuff comes along lol.

Not a fan of “more is better”...in fact I probably would be pretty sour on GTS if it was the same formula again with 500 cars again. Give me 250 cars with that insane level of detail instead.

My only gripe is more production cars aren’t in yet like my favorite Honda Accord coupe, and no rain update on if it’s in at launch.

Overall though, think I’m gonna have a lot of fun with the game and it shines above competition in ways that’s most important to me.

Well I was waiting for someone to comment on that but has anyone noticed the gravel stones after the car jumps?

The video that explains the group categories is great and all, but I still didn't quite understood if the cars will have upgraded parts, or if the old system has been completely removed for the sake of balance. Also would be great to know what ways there are to acquire new cars. Is the old Cr system still in place?

Dont think the game has upgrades.

For other stuff:
As you naturally increase your skill level, you will be awarded with a multitude of vehicles in various race groups, as well as in-game currency to allow you to further expand your dream garage.

Want to set up your vehicle for road, dirt, or drift? The Car Settings within your Garage allow you to change your tires, brake bias, suspension, aerodynamics, drivetrain, transmission, and power to weight ratio — basically anything you'd want to tune, you can!

That's not the only way you can customize your ride, though. In GT Sport, every mile driven means extra rewards for you; with Mileage Exchange, you can trade in-game miles for a host of customization options for your driver avatar and vehicles within your Garage.

You'll still use the in-game credits earned from racing (or pre-ordering) to purchase cars.

I like those small particle details but Im kinda disappointed with the smoke trails though. GT6 had those huge smoke build ups when drifting or in the rain.

How long will this demo be up for?

How long will this demo be up for?
3 days and 4 hours(edit: I had different intel 9th 10am BST to 12th 2 pm BST) Man... 43gigs for a demo, a demo that is limited. Weird shit.
They should have included one car/track combo for offline racing and kept the demo up at least until early next year in my opinion.

I hope the demo is the bulk of the game and we can just unlock it.

thanks for the info, I was a bit worried, but it seems that the game will flow reasonably.
I'm still undecided if buying the disc or going digital on this one. Downloading the demo now, it will take all the night with my adsl. If the same download could be used for the final game, with just a patch to unlock it, I would probably go with it.

Scapes just looks amazing can't wait to play with it. Lighting is just incredible with HDR. Honestly this game just looks near photo realistic at points in the replays. Minimal aliasing on Pro. Music is just lovely. Replays are 30fps.

How Gran Turismo Sport's ‘Sport Mode' Actually Works

Daily Races

Online Daily Races will be the most prominent online feature of Sport Mode in GT Sport.

These events will comprise of a certain car class on a specific circuit for a certain time period throughout the day. Players can enter these races as many times as possible to improve their skills. Every day, new events will be available for players to try out.

Daily Races will also play a major part in the upcoming demo on October 9.

FIA Gran Turismo Championships
The partnership between Polyphony and the FIA will see the FIA Gran Turismo Championships as the main esports attraction in GT Sport.

Players will have the opportunity to compete for their favorite brands in the Manufacturer Series or represent their home country in the Nations Cup. These championship events will be held across America, Europe and Asia, with the top drivers advancing to the World Finals.

There will also be live reporting and broadcasts throughout the championship season, allowing players to discover and support their favorite drivers.

Advanced Matchmaking

Sport Mode will comprise of a new Driver Rating system to ensure a level playing field for online users.

The Driver Rating will be the indicator of a player's overall speed, whilst the Sportsmanship Rating will indicate the behavior of players during online races. Both of these ratings will ensure that players are matched with other drivers of equal skill.

Balance of Performance

To ensure the cars in GT Sport have no inherent advantages or disadvantages, some races in Sport Mode will employ a Balance of Performance adjustment.

These BoP-adjusted races will have vehicle power and weight automatically adjusted before players go out on track. These regulations will allow all cars running to race equally.
