You'll get there eventually. Though some raids still get annihilated before I can even load (i.e. Tiamat Omega. I never even really bother joining at this point, even if its just 1 person when I first see it. I know by the time I load it, I'll be 16/30).

Since theres the daily missions for the event (5 raids for 50 Crystals + 1 Blue Sky Crystal) everyone is just trying to get a hit in. + The boss has low HP that you dont even need to be high level to take off a significant amount of hp.

Ehhhh, I'll try my best but Water is kind of a weak point for me. I think my grid is kind of weak too.
Luckily Water is my strongest, so hopefully I can make a difference. Only rank 56 but my team is lvl 80 Yoda, Charlotta, and SSR Katalina with Izmir and Amira as backup. Go team Trick Room!

if you're not going for honor rankings and just going for four copies of a gw weapon, element doesn't matter.
you get roughly the same amount of tokens for wanpan (attacking once and nothing else), and just lose MVP tokens.
so join a bunch of raids and attack once and you'll get all the tokens you need. solo the highest thing you can for meats then host, wanpan and request backup.

Might as well go the one in your strongest element. Plus you don't need amazing characters to farm Tiamat guns.

Wow what, I just got an SR char from GW token draw? Has this been going on forever and I just drew the wrong weapons the whole time? Does this mean the Longinus SR weapon also comes with a character attached? I'm happy I finally got my third katana, only took a million GWs, but this is also neat.

sr characters were added to the GW drawbox three or so GWs ago. Longinus comes with a chara.

Well we nearly made cutoff for B, but ended up at 6010 last tally, so probably 62xx after it's done.
Still very happy since I only started playing Feb 28th and was solo last GW.

I need to try and find a competitive crew willing to take a low level ( mid 50's) like me for next gw. I had fun this time around though with the casual crew I've been with since starting despite knowing we had no chance of moving on. Came out top contributor, got all my axes on the first day and got two new characters to boot. My first gw was definitely a hectic but fun experience.

Wow, we actually got to Tier C.
Try to gain a bit more ranks before next gw, if you manage 101 (shouldn't be that hard to at least get 80+) you can probably easily find at least a more competitive crew that qualifies!

What's up with the "Luck Be A Lady" outfit in the Casino right now? This is my first time seeing an outfit purchasable with chips. Are the Casino outfits out?? Where are the rest? I want my Eugen.
I believe it came out just in the last week or so. I imagine the others will roll out soon.

Ah, thanks. This was complete news to me.
I'll do my best to grind my levels next month, thanks. I only just started end of march so I know it's normal to not be that strong yet but I really want to be part of an organized group and feel like my contributions matter. Holy shit just did 3 baha raids in the last 3 hours, each time with a flip chest and just got my first baha horn!

Merci!!! Almost done uncapping Katana, I'll reflect later on how stupid it was choosing Octo as my GW character. If I ever actually manage to get there. Once you've jumped through a million crafting hoops you need to fight them in order to have them join right? What would be the average required power lv to win the fight?

Its incredibly easy fight, plus you use your whole party versus them.
Octo is very great earth character. I use him every time I play earth.
Also his ougi animation is cool and very colourful.

Most sleep on Octo because he's not a waifu (not saying this is the case for Hemlock). Don't worry, Octo, you can be my Ougi samurai.
The problem with Octo (and Eugen) is that they both basically fit into a much older meta of Earth being ougi-based. Another example of this intended direction is the shitty Perseus fist which essentially fits into 1-2 characters feeding a DPS character a shit ton of CA to ougi as much as possible, e.g. Sarasa, multiattacks be damned because it's irrelevant when you're pumping out Charge Attacks and regenerating charge bar via other means.
Now that the game is at a point grids are capping damage (especially during GW), and echo and especially multiattacks are far better DPS gain as they circumvent the cap, we now have Xeno harp being the de-facto mainhand with Elysian, which then sidelines all the ougi-based characters, since when you're doing an ougi on a specific turn you're not triple-attacking. Doubly true when you factor in Rooster's mechanics
That and the Tezcat lineup requirement basically means high-damage Earth teams have gone from one very specific setup to another very specific setup. It's hard to make Octo's strengths work well with the latter while Sarasa thrives in it.
(That being said I -am- still running an ougi-based team with Gao and GW axe as a mainhand. Probably changing as soon as Rooster shows up again and I spark Rooster)

I've never been one to go to for optimal setups. I have Tezcat and don't even bother to use them.

Did some pulls and game only gives me Metera and Eustace....
Oh well, at least Eustace helps my Earth team somewhat and Metera is sadly the start of a Wind team.

Alright thanks, that was a lot of information! Honestly I'm still starting out with this game, my earth achievements so far consist in a 3* Tribunal Thunder, one measly Xeno harp, fully uncapped Vohu, Baihu Claw, 5* Soliz. It's a start I guess. I would probably progress faster if I stuck to an element like I've been told from the beginning, but between events, GW and pulls throwing weapons characters and fights of every possible element at me I'm finding it hard not to switch constantly. I suppose it's fine as long as I'm still enjoying myself but I don't think I can stay focused enough to really build power. But hey the free Baha dagger from the anniversary event was a nice boost at least! (if only I could remember that at this point only human characters will benefit)

Oh, well that's comforting! I guess I'll keep doing the same thing up til now and build the strength of each element bit by bit.
Tangential question: I recently 5*'d Altair, but I also have Charlotte and Lancelot at 4. Who would be a smart next candidate? I was thinking Charlotte because I don't think I have any other water characters with DMG cut and eat overdrive gauge skills.
Go with Lancelot if you must 5* one of those/don't have a better (less selfish) attacker. Charlotta's 5* doesn't add anything at all to her damage cut, and the 5% charge bar at battle start is pretty niche, IMO.
Charlotta's pros:
5% extra charge bar at quest start.
More stats?
She gets a box.
Lancelot's:
Increased DA rate (team-wide)*.
Main nuke hits twice after ougi (ignore damage cap/double damage if you aren't capping anyway).
Self DA buff (souther cross) also gives TA rate up.
*Bear in mind that this passive isn't game-changing and is pretty small, but eh, it's better than 5% at quest start so long as it helps procc a DA at least once - although 5% charge bar is still good under some pretty niche circumstances (that you can safely ignore if you want).

Well, out of boredom decided to just go splurge on regular raids when there isn't any event raids going on.
Ends up I get my lucky streak of getting a few flips and some weapons. Especially from Leviathan which is quite useful right now.
