IV was rumored to be in Vice City before the trailer, after all...

I'm starting to think maybe the game is Vice City and Las Venturas. Islands by themselves that you have to fly between. The game could have been in development for almost 4 years and considering it's probably releasing on current console tech, I doubt their engine has improved so much where they couldn't develop 2 major maps in the time the game has been in development. 360 version could be on 2 discs, one for VC the other for Las Venturas.

I give this a 15% chance of happening.

hey thats what i was saying, kinda! i don't think we're going to get Vice City and San Andreas both in GTAV though.. but we can dream right?

here's me making a prediction: you can ride horses in GTAV. i mean why not? they got wonderful horses working with the engine already, why not put them in? create some countryside using tweaked assets from RDR and voila. would be fun to go steal a horse and ride it in traffic lol. also another prediction! there will be a zoo. and you can ride some of the animals there too. grab a zebra and go do some drive-bys, i mean ride-bys... eheh. ehhh.. maybe not.

I just can't talk myself out of DC.

V probably began production right admits the TARP bailouts and other financial craziness.
It's the ideal choice IMO.

Follow the drugs too. Meth and oxy are hot choices.

As far as discs/all that I wish they'd require a mandatory install.

I'm 70% thinking it's DC myself despite what the sites are saying. I'm hoping for VC, or Las Venturas as a second, but DC is still my pick.

If they have to go multi disc for 360 I at least hope they let you install both discs and only have to play off of one.

Rockstar are masters of red herrings.

Somehow I doubt some web programmer would know enough about the game to put it in there and/or risk their job by putting an obscure reference in there.

If its in there, I'm assuming it's because it's intentionally in there.

The logo screams DC to me, but it's all just speculation until Wednesay. If it's LA I'll complain because I don't really want to go back there, but I'll get the game all the same.

My guess is that they'll always stick to the 1900s/2000s for the mainline GTA and might explore different time periods with other series such as RDR.

I don't think re-doing past cities is a good idea. I don't even feel like it's Liberty City in IV.

I have a hard time believing that an entire cast list leaked out. Rockstar has always kept that shit on lockdown.

I'd be down for a refurb of San Andreas in the same way Liberty City was redone for GTA IV. Not the same exact map, but a similar one, with all the next gen touches and set in a different time period (maybe 6/7 years after, so late 90s? It could have a Brit Pop station!).

By similar I mean SF/LV/LS still in there but with more countryside areas and a fucking decent SF. SF was sooo boring in SA, by far the worst area, didn't at ALL catch the feel of the city like R* did with LV/LS.

I'd love that, but not with GTA in the title. They should create a new ip ad hoc, just like red dead redemption. GTA is about satire and modern society.

There's no reason for an entirely new engine. The modifications to the Rage engine for RDR was a significant improvement over the GTAIV experience, even though coding issues may have resulted. Further enhancements will lead to an even better experience. I just wish they sort out their PS3 issues with Rage.

Vita might have an issue due to cart size, but that could maybe be solved with cart switching (if possible). If so, I'll be this hits 360, PS3, PC, Vita, Wii U, and even MS's new console if it really is coming next year. (And yes, it's a lock for Wii U. Nintendo knows how big GTA is, so even if R* doesn't think it's worth it, Nintendo won't hesitate to pay a few million to fund the port.)

And honestly, I don't care what city it is. I just want them to bring fun and craziness back! Since SR3 is probably going to flop and THQ is in danger, GTA is the lat hope. Please take a break from the realism...

Yeah, but even 8GB probably wouldn't be enough for this game. Hell, I can see this crossing 16GB. The Vita version will probably have the lowest res textures though, so maybe the could squeeze it down to one card depending on the max size.

Well Liberty City is so much smaller than the real New York, and they put in some New Jersey anyway. Both Vegas and DC cover more area than Liberty City. And I think it's obvious they would add whatever other element they feel those areas lack.

And Miami, which Vice City is based off, is smaller than DC. So I don't think size really matters.

I'm still not sure what to think of the money motif going on with the V logo. Initially I thought DC if only because we know the mint is headquartered there and it has that federal look. But money can really be any major city. LA is the third biggest economic center in the world and all the rumors point towards there, but it feels wrong.

Now which is less likely - a AAA title which will see majority sales on console/PC, debuting on a handheld gaming system, or GTA finally being on a Nintendo console? Nintendo knows they need it.
