Arkham Knight. Horizon 2.Game has the best water rendering I’ve seen. It looks sublime.

It reminds me of the original Watch Dogs. A PS3 game. 2 screenshots, game running on PC (of course):
Is Watch Dogs worth playing today? I got it years ago for free, think it was bundled with a GPU purchase or something, but I never played it given the controversies surrounding downgrades and some issues it had at launch.
Matrix demo.
After they showed the game at that ugly ass Sony showcase a few months back I would have never imagined someone praising Spidey’s water a few months later!Game has the best water rendering I’ve seen. It looks sublime.
Y'all ready?
I was skeptical until I saw this mf post proof of his wife working at R*. Next week

No, that’s Spider-Man 2 and I can see it from space looking at my iPhone 13 Mini screen. GTFO.
They look nice, good DOF and water, but bullshots? Not even close.
THIS is a bullshot.
LOL! But the SM2 shot is far more impressive!
oh come on, its not even close. This is a classic example of "what have you done for me lately"Game has the best water rendering I’ve seen. It looks sublime.

Have faith, son.It has been debunked on GTA forums.
As much as I like the reflections and praised them for it, I don't like the pattern of the water, waves and such it's also, in this shot and some other scenes way too crisp.Game has the best water rendering I’ve seen. It looks sublime.
DoF is crucial when it comes to great real-time cinematics. TLOU Pt. 1, Burning Shores, and now SM2 are best to ever do it.
I haven’t jumped in yet. That’s why i said rendering. And yet it has terrible physics, looks horrendous when swimming. Best water is in Counter-Strike 2 and it's not even close. SM2 water just has decent shading and that's about it.
Nah. I immediately compared both games and shading is way more realistic here.Arkham Knight. Horizon 2.
Hmm, don't know about that. It certainly has the worst physics though.

He is referring to the light interaction with the surface of the water, i.e. reflections, not so much the simulation. So in that context, Sea of Thieves doesn't even belong in this conversation.

it is fake, debunked on gtaforumsI hope this is fake and they’ll do something original for the trailer.
There's so many things that goes into water rendering to make it look good and blurred RT reflection of environment (buildings) is not even on the list.
Word. Real life needs to upgrade to a 4090 lol.
And the reason water looks like that is not because of the blurred reflection of buildings no sure why that is so hard to grasp.Word. Real life needs to upgrade to a 4090 lol.
Cool boat wavelets. Is there similar thing in Spider-Man 2?
That's clearly an FSR image, this would look better with DLSS.Word. Real life needs to upgrade to a 4090 lol.
Lol hey this ain’t the OT threadI’m playing Spiderman 2 on fidelity + VRR Smoth + 120 hz and it’s the most impressive thing I’ve played on PS5 (and XSX), like, this is the shit I’ve buyed the PS5 for.
Some of the missions I’ve done 8 hours in are breathtaking, Insomniac snapped the fuck out.
MJ character model is pretty mid tho, Ganke too, Harry looks great.
Eh, well... I'm just gonna go ahead and trust you it looks better in motion, because that screenshot looks absolutely terrible to me. Doesn't even look like water.Game has the best water rendering I’ve seen. It looks sublime.
Oh, people can say what they want about the open world AC games (I love all three personally), but the graphics of all three are absolutely sublime. Odyssey in particular for me is such a beautiful looking game, though I’m a little biased due to my love for Greek mythology and culture.I know everyone hates Ubisoft, but the water and water physics in AC Origins and Odyssey are still some of the best I’ve seen, 6 years on.
Much is back at at again. Anyone downplaying the night lighting in SM2 is coping hard at this point.
Good Lord!
Those boots on a motorcycle?!DoF is crucial when it comes to great real-time cinematics. TLOU Pt. 1, Burning Shores, and now SM2 are best to ever do it.
You forgot the /s at the end of the post.Game has the best water rendering I’ve seen. It looks sublime.
Game looks nothing like this heavily edited, heavily compressed Twitter video. Don't post bullshit, post your own screenshots / videos.
You really get a sense of just how much they dialed up the traversal speed as he's mid-swings parallel to the water surface. And the motion blur compliments the faster speeds nicely. Now imagine that sense of speed when you're swinging just above street level in between skyscrapers

Turning dreams into reality. Forget visuals. This is the best next gen experience. And I haven't even buffed my traversal speed yet.
Wow, so average looking at times, the same as those screens from the suburbs above, it's a shame.Effects could use some more work.

Yep. Arkham Knight has some of the best water in video games. AK has some of the best everything, graphics wise, to this day imo. It’s insane how good it looks. You forgot the /s at the end of the post.
This is arkham knight.
Without even calling out hfw or tlou2 or other stuff.

The texture quality is decent, but the Ao+shadowing leaves much to be desired. And the towels too.
