Graphical Fidelity I Expect This Gen

Cyberpunk 2 of course since it will still be in very early pre production phase at the time GTA 6 release, witcher 4 we will see.
I guess Witcher 4 will be graphically more impressive especially on PC with PT but will have less attention to small details and less systems working in the background.

I hope they'll show impressive simulations for The Witcher 4 physics, maybe things that are going to affect gameplay like Zelda did.

I don't want to just stare at close to life field of grass, sky, rocks and mountains, for that I've just to look outside of my window.

I'm still waiting for the answer? Be honest. I can take it :)

And a way smaller scale maybe-doesn't-have-to-be very seamless map , not to mention without the ability to fly around anywhere & seeing every place however you like so many draw distance and lighting consistency releated issues are hassles to deal with , theoretically there goes less limitations when trying to push the actual graphics quality further away

and ofc the actual visuals look nothing like the initial trailer with those performance targets.....
aaaaaw fuck, another one.

With CDPR there is at least some hope that the PC version gets a different enough set of tech to scale.....

TW4 looked pretty damn good to me. I like that they're pushing more than just pure fidelity, even though it already looked great.

60fps on base PS5 is worrying though...

Wow Witcher 4 looks amazing. I loved the fly by at the end, and how the NPCs gathered together at the city center. It's rare to see that in game.

Foliage looks great. The lighting in the village looks great. Trees look phenomenal.

Forget about it, not with that level of fidelity.

It's gonna be nowhere near tokt.

The game is going to look incredible on my pc. That being said, if the game is coming in 2027, then its going to be a long wait

Every single UE5 game is 60 fps on consoles.

They just said that both software and hardware lumen is 2x more performant compared to earlier version. Should make it a whole lot easier to hit 60 fps in a game like this.

Another cool thing is that I didn't notice any clipping in cloth at any point in the trailer. Ciri's cape while she was riding the horse looked amazing.

Still looks better than 99% of the games out there though.

Is that a feat with a pure tech demo of something slated to release 2027+, though?
It`s a far cry from the initial showing. Literally all the really expensive effects are gone and the usual hardware constraints are visible.....
You could say reality caught up to the promise and killed the magic.

They chose to show the peasant version to sell more licenses on consoles, though. Maybe ...maybe I´d not be disappointed by the high end PC version, but that is a case of wait and see.

Yeah, that looked amazing. The hefty 60 FPS promise on PS5 is crazy though... Kinda believable, considering UE5.6 is literally 66.7% faster according to that same leaker, spot on about all the new features also.

Lmao the animations\npcs interactions\city simulation are way more impressive than the graphic itself.

It looks very scripted\fake if i have to be honest.

its a the 60 fps mode running on a base ps5. The PC version with path tracing and higher quality presets will look much better.

We'll see if that 60 fps target holds true, though with the new version of UE5, maybe that will be a reality for console. The PC port should look insane.

Come on. I dont care what they say. The guy getting kicked out for cheating in Gwent is cleraly scripted. The dude running into ciri and dropping his basket of apples is scripted. the fish trader talking to his customer is clearly been scripted.

The real interactivity will come from what happens when you attack that bear and he goes on a rampage destroying the fish stalls, attacking that guy with the apple basket and eating all the gwent players.

The only thing that felt dynamic was the crowd stopping what they were doing and coming together in the middle of the town square. But thats also kind of scripted into their routines.

So why are you saying cmon? I agree with you.

If the same video was made by rockstar to show their nocs tech i could be convinced that it was somehow real, but freakin cdproject? Even their fixed cp2077 is nowhere near even gta4\watch dogs 2 standards in terms of city simulation.

npc counts are impressive
lumen adds a lot
nanite foliage is incredible

there are still SSR artifacts though

Stated by the dev itself, running on standard ps5 in 60fps with rt, not saying i believe it, but still, it looks how it looks:

lol the chat was like why is this so blurry. i guess no we know why. something had to give.

my guess is that its running sub 1080p. I also noticed the blurriness but only in the town, and only in the distance.

PT is a given after CP2077...I think.
I´m not so sure about the real expensive stuff like all the volumetric effects missing from this demo. The rest will have a very hard time to get on GTA6 level, imho. Yeah, that`s a very high bar, but this is CDPR and a game that`s likely going to be crossgen on the PS6.
the witcher 4 looked to be 30 fps in that stream
they said 60, though.

Rumor has it we're seeing Cory Barlogs game tomorrow 👀

Well, a new Santa Monica game, so it has to be from Cory..

I imagine it's still on UE5.4/5.5. Once they move and make whatever improvements 60 fps should be possible with what we saw in the trailer... Blurry as fuck though, something had to give.
felt more like a stable 30 , no way ps5 runs that at 60

yeah, i remember saying that the volumetric effects in the pre-rendered trailer would be the first to go. I also recently pointed out that Space Marine 2 got rid of nearly all of its volumetric effects, but callisto, hellblade 2, Silent Hill 2 and even AC Shadows do use them a lot so hopefully the PC version adds some fancy fog and volumetric smoke in the city.

Thats the reason i dont believe the dev, game is easily 2 years away, if not even 3, and they would have 60fps stable version, even if blur-ish non native 1080p, open world game with and i directly qoute dev again-"over 300 animated skeletal mesh agents"( aka npcs)- in my lil brain of an avg gamer it simply doesnt add up for them being able to show it off already and not at target 60/varriable fps but stable 60 at that...

Another "next-gen" game ruined by 60fps. Looks good? Yes. Looks like something that'll release like 13 years after The Witcher 3? No, not in the slightest.

100% agree. The simulation of the world is more important than raw graphics, but I was expecting more on the graphic fidelity front. Intergalactic will probably look similarly as good in motion and everyone was shitting on it

CGI Trailers like the Witcher 4 are just bullshit. GTA 6 is the only AAA game this generation that is pushing the technological limits

I say bring it on, devs, bombard us with proper current gen goodies, we wanna see some proper progress in both graphical fidelity and all kinds of systems of the games too.

i dont want to see Cory's next game. Id rather see Intergallactic. Yes, the graphics are a bit mid but TLOU2's combat is sublime and i want to see next gen motion matching, and what ND can do with next gen AI routines.

Huh, that Extas1s guy just came out with a Spyro 4 rumour... The collection was an UE4 game, potential Rift Apart-ish surprise showcase?

I hope intergalactic is gonna look like this, but the brief gameplay snippets looked as unimpressive as my asshole.
