Quick noob question about the base game, when I lvl up from main/sidequests does it increase my shifting speed as well?
I know it only says "gravity gauge and health increased" but if feels like my shift speed is much quicker now that I've lvl'd up five or six times.
Finished DLC, great music, cool boss fight, good length.
Story...I stop trying to make sense of it...
So, it's like the latest chapter? lol
Does it happen before or after GR2 ending?
edit: nvm, just saw your post in the other thread. Slightly dissapointed
Nice bittersweet ending, somewhat similar to Kat's sacrifice in the main game although not sure who the Sachya at the end was since it I thought it was implied Raven sacrificed her and her memories to save the orphans but eh.
Also the Zaza at the end is not Zaza, it's his grandson. Since he didn't go down the pillar, he got to live those 50+ years in Hekseville, and he already died (hence the flowers).
Finished it. Very fun piece of DLC.
How long is it?
Only on the second episode, but I have a problem with how this is tied to Gravity Rush 2.They know Brahman is working on waking up the children, but have no idea who he is in Gravity Rush 2 despite knowing he was behind trying to wake up the children?
I mean maybe that gets explained later, but seems like a big continuity fuck up to me.
As short as the DLC was, I think they managed to fill in just about every gap in the story for both games.
For example towards the end of GR2,The reason for this?the creators all seem to die and yet the world did not collapse. In the first game, Cyanea made it pretty clear that if the dreamer were to wake, the world would simply cease to exist. However this did not happen. It's because Raven became the new Dreamer. She inherited the world from Cyanea and created a new one based on a dream of her own. Towards the end of the game, it was also implied that humanity as a whole inherited the dream from her.
Thus leading into the events of Gravity Rush 2.In the new world, she no longer has a past (officially), but is still able to exist because the debug software failed to destroy her.
She may have even dreamt up a new life for herself where she is so closely tied to Kat that they are now essentially more then good friends.

How do we get the new costume ?, I think.Dark Angel Kat
I don't find the downloadable file on the PSN like the PSO one.
Game worth 28 bucks or whatever it is on PSN at the moment? I played the demo and enjoyed it somewhat, not sure if I fell in love with the mechanics though. Opinions seem to be a little mixed.
While this can make sense, is it implied somewhere? (I possibly missed it since I was annoyed with some things in the DLC and that affected my attention a bit).
edit: reworded it.
Where are you seeing it on sale? PSN showing full price here.Game worth 28 bucks or whatever it is on PSN at the moment? I played the demo and enjoyed it somewhat, not sure if I fell in love with the mechanics though. Opinions seem to be a little mixed.
Probably in the EU, it's a part of the EU "Only on PlayStation" sale at 50% off (shows at £24.99 for me, not sure what that translates to in other currencies at the moment with the pound as fucked as it is).Where are you seeing it on sale? PSN showing full price here.
Question for base game which I think I'm pretty far in....I just got back to Hekseville, at some point soon I'll be able to go back Jara Lhago right?
this does make a decent amount of sense, includingRaven "dreaming" that Kat comes back at the end of GR2 since it's her dream and not that of Cyanea. Also allows for Kat to deny the darkness as opposed to the possibility she gave in and decided to live in a world of her own making.
Art book arrived today. Going to try to make some time later on to dig through the pages.
Finally wrapped the Raven DLC myself. So during the climb up the pillar, isn't there incidental dialog about how Kat and Raven went down it? But Raven's actions in this DLC erased any reason Kat or Raven would have even gone down in the first place...
Also, how exactly were you supposed to defend the Ark? After it got blown up for the third time I just cheesed it with Phoenix mode...
I really dislike most of the side quests in this game...Kat also controls terribly when her gravity powers are locked out. Some of the game design here leaves me scratching my head...
As for defending the Ark, I'm not really sure. I believe Phoenix mode is the primary method of getting through it, but it doesn't always occur when you need it.
There may be some method to charge it more quickly though, but I don't think the game ever adequately explained it for either character.
Poor GR2. The game just feels kind of swept aside and forgotten. I mention it at work and people are like, "what?" Anecdotal I know, but I feel like it deserves a prominent place in discussion along side other Japanese greats from this year.Wow this really just came out with no fanfare.
When's it take place, or is that a spoiler?
