Green Man Gaming Thread: Save some green, man

Darksiders 2 for $20, game any good?

Parts of the game are apparently a bit padded. Otherwise an improvement on the first game. There were some mentions of darksiders 2 in the "recent game purchase regret" thread, though. I guess that was at a higher price, though.

It's a great price for a good game. The last half of the game seems like the devs got lazy and rushed a few things. I bought it for full price on PS3 and thought it was worth it.

I'd like to double dip on the PC version though for a better experience. I bought the Season Pass for $4 on GMG and I'm contemplating if I should purchase now or wait for a lower price.

Hope GMG keep it up with these codes and discounts. It's often used to get people onto the service, but in this case if they stop I don't see people going with them out of courtesy. Love their service though, wholeheartedly recommend it to my buddies.

Thanks a lot for the heads up.
Just got out of bed and turned my computer on just to buy stuff ;D
I love GMG a lot !!!

Just got Darksiders 1 and 2 with darksiders 2 season pass + 2 dlc's.
All of that for 30$ :D

Thanks...

Bugger. It was buggy at launch and I know the official website and Gameplanet.uk have the patched version, but not GMG yet (where it's undoubtedly cheapest). Oh well!

What makes you say that?
To date only Dark Messiah has been Steamworks as far I know (at least as in "buy a key anywhere and it works on Steam), and unless AC3's the game they're changing this with it'll probably stay that way. Similar to EA they want to leverage their own service, but unlike EA they're not so stupid as to blow off Steam entirely.

Ubisoft almost always goes with Uplay instead of Steamworks. Only recent exceptions I can think of are Rayman Origins and Clash of Heroes. And all AssCreed games have used Uplay thus far, and I don't see AC3 being any different.

It doesn't have to be Steamworks to be on Steam. None of the existing AC games are Steamworks, they're all UPlay but they're all on Steam. The game is listed in the Steam store, other stores are selling Steam keys for it, what's so unrealistic about GMG getting it?

Yesss, they have FM 2013 for only $29.99.. Amazon is sleeping or something and still doesn't even have it up for preorder. Are there any codes for the site right now? I've never purchased anything from here.

I just noticed that Rocksmith has achievements.

Eurotruck Simulator 2 is out on the official site for 40$ but GMG have it for 24$ (with the 20% code), I think I will reinvest my refund of WRC3 !

Some people seem to have liked it, but I would advise against it at any price. Awful, awful experience.

It was my GOTY. It's worth it's current price of $19.99 Further, there is an exceptional attention to detail that many RPGs lack. The confluence of gaming genres is remarkable as well, Carmageddon included.

Personally, I quite liked for a good deal of time before I got kind of tired of it. I think I got a solid 15 or so hours out of it before I hit a wall. If I had more free time, I think I would have pressed on and still had some fun with it.

Got Doom3 BFG for PC download for £16.00

Thanks for the heads up.

Will Dead island go under $8 you think this holiday season? I'm tempted to get the GOTY version for $8.

It's possible that it will have a 75% off deal bringing the price down to 5$, but it's not a huge saving. If you can find the time and someone to play it in co-op, it's well worth the current price.

You can use that coupon code to lower the price further down to 24$.

It shows up as a preorder that will be available on the 26th of October for me. The official site has it right now.

Is that a regional thing? Are you seeing it as released on GMG?

Yeah you're right, and the "pre-purchase" button from this morning is now disabled with status "Out of stock"
I will wait, anyway we can try the full game (in a limited area of the map) for free.

Edit:
From GMG forum:
Hi Guys

Unfortunately, due to an error on our side, the release date for this game has been missed.

We're working hard to get the game up for you, but this wont be until early next week.

We understand that you may want a refund for this, and if so, please create a support ticket clearly stating the game and your issue in our Support section found here [greenmangaming.zendesk.com]

However if you don't mind waiting, we'll have the game ready for you ASAP.

We apologise for this, and any inconvenience it may have caused.

Just picked up Darkness 2 and Metro for a total of £7.74 :)

Though i hear Metro has performance issues?
You need a pretty beefy card to run Metro. The game is pretty as FUCK, but it's not very well optimized.

Even with my 670 FTW, it dips quite a bit, but damn is it awesome.
Great game. Baffling it's not on steam.
Even more baffling that they didn't bring Bloodshot to PC as well. I love both games VERY dearly.

Alpha Protocol is great and I didn't find many bugs when I played, and nothing gamebreaking. I'd recommend using stealth and pistols and Chain Shot and just having fun with the story, as the combat's hit-or-miss

Worth $20.

for the love of god change it back

EDIT: This isn't the Steam thread :(

Dang, it looks like FM 2013 was available for $26 with this code before.. GMGFM-C7BEY-U0PMY. None of the current ones work with it. :(

I guess the 25% off is what brings it from $40 to $30. Oh well, pulled the trigger. Thanks again, folks!
